Mentor’s Mediterranean Steakhouse — Restaurant in Town of New Castle

Response to Owner: I love when the owner replies with passive aggressive and snarky comments; it shows their true colors and inability to take negative feedback. Spending $100 per head for a celebratory dinner we shouldn't have had the issues we had. Instead of better understanding the issues with my experience so you can improve, you speak about all your other 5 star reviews and the reviews I've left elsewhere. Majority of reviews I've left are 4 and 5 star. Skip the sarcasm next time.

Unfortunately was not impressed with anything about our dinner here. Average meal at best.

Restaurant was not heated adequately, I felt a draft over my head and feet.

Service was quite slow and the waiter kept walking away every time I wanted to order something. Food took a while to come out with only 3 other tables being waited.

Was not busy at all; we were the only table seated at the time of ordering and somehow they only had 1 order of lamb chops left.

Mussels were small in size and average flavor.

Ordered a sirloin and a filet. One was slightly over cooked and the other was under cooked

The best! Consistently excellent; food, cocktails, service, ambience. Menu has a great mix of steak, seafood, pastas.. all with a Mediterranean flair.

The calamari appetizer is a MUST, very different than the fried calamari you can get anywhere else. The baklava cheesecake is such a great representation of the menu as a whole: cheesecake (a steakhouse classic) but creatively made with a phyllo dough crust - the combination you never knew you needed until now.

The owner, Mentor, is very involved in the business and really hustles throughout service. He’s remembered us every time since our very first visit. Most recently saving us our favorite spots at the bar on Valentine’s Day which I felt exceptionally grateful for considering that holiday can be stressful with reservations.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Mentors Steakhouse, and it was truly unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, the staff made sure every detail was perfect. The owner even took the time to personally check on us, adding such a special touch to the evening. The food was incredible, each dish thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor, but what really stood out was the exceptional service. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to ensure my guests and I were well taken care of. They created a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made my birthday celebration truly special.
