Britches was always a lovely place to shop. The customer service provided by Barry and Carol and the remaining staff was personalized and intimate like shopping experiences of many years ago. Thankfully, that element remains along with a whole new look and vibe. The store has been redecorated and refashioned with a new, more casual women's line and home goods. In the women's department, Eileen Fisher and Repeat remain but new, trendier lines have been added. It is now a store for all ages. The furnishings (I spied some lovely glass lamps reminiscent of Simon Pearce) are fabulous, maybe a bit like Serena and Lily. Some funky poufs (there's a denim one on display in the men's section and some fab lime ones in the women's area), great pillows, bedding and accessories. It made me think of stores in Danbury or Greenwich. IT'S A WHOLE NEW PLACE!!! So for lovely clothing for your family and bits and pieces for your home, this store is highly recommended. The friendliest store in town. The kind of place where you walk in and and everyone knows your name and will help you as much as you need. They have an unparalleled selection of men’s casual wear and men’s dress furnishings. It’s almost like a mini-department store but with much better customer service! I have shopped here for 18 years and Barry and his team always make great suggestions for gifts for my husband, father and father-in-law to suit every occasion. Barry even remembers everyone’s size. Family Britches staff worked with both by husband and son in outfitting them with new suits and sports coats and slacks for my son's Bar Mitzvah. They did a wonderful job working with their different tastes, and even ordered custom fabric for my son's suit. They carefully scheduled alterations in case of growth spurts, and then even hand delivered an ordered belt that arrived two days before our event.
