I travel for my work and currently I am located near Cornwall and I am still exploring the area. On the way to the Star Bucks I found this new building, and there was no name board, So I found it on the google search as an Indian/ Thai restaurant. I am an Avid fan of Indian food and decided to give a try. We were group of 4 and the highlight of our dining experience was the exceptional quality of the food. Every dish I tried was a delightful explosion of flavors. The Samosas were so tasty and the was a great start to the meal. The chicken tikka masala is the best I ever had in my life, it was rich and perfectly spiced. The naan was soft and freshly baked, the restaurant truly excels in the art of Indian cuisine. All of us really enjoyed every meal we tried. The restaurant has a decent menu with a wide range of options. They had Thai menu as well but we decided to stick on to one cuisine this time. Whether you're a vegetarian or a meat lover, there are plenty of choices to satisfy everyone's taste buds. The diversity of dishes, was impressive. The restaurant maintained a clean and cozy atmosphere. The tables were well-maintained with utensil rests, which was very uncommon for an Indian restaurant, and the overall ambiance was comfortable and inviting. There are a few things I didn’t like and that is the only reason why I am giving a 3 star. A couple of the wait workers served us while we were eating. Who was serving us was not identified. It wasn't convenient that a new person would arrive at the table every time. After observing them for some time, I noticed that the person who received our order moved to the following table and cleaned it with some kind of a solution and he prepared the table for next customer with the glass upside down after cleaning with the chemical, there was no paper napkins underneath. I did not drink from my glass since I saw that. And I had to order soda instead as I didn’t want to put the chemical in my mouth. Later, I noticed him bringing water to another table and removing the dishes from the other table. In my observation, he never washed his hands between cleaning with chemicals or after emptying the filthy dishes. I couldn't tell anyone that day because the restaurant appeared to be so busy and I couldn’t find any manager like person there. I really enjoyed the food and would like to return, but only if good hygienic practices...
Read moreI am writing to share our experience dining at your establishment on Mother's Day. We chose Citrus Restaurant to celebrate the occasion with a party of four, excited to enjoy your excellent food and truly remarkable dessert selection. However, our special day was unfortunately overshadowed by the conduct of the host on duty.
From the start, the host’s attitude was rude and unwelcoming. Throughout the meal, he repeatedly rushed us, asking us to leave multiple times within an hour. This was particularly distressing as my mother is a slow eater, and she was unable to enjoy her meal at a comfortable pace. At no point during the booking process were we informed that our reservation would be restricted to such a short time, which would have influenced our decision to dine with you on such an important occasion.
While the food was outstanding—especially the Malai Kofta and shrimp—the lack of hospitality ruined the experience. Additionally, we were eager to indulge in what was undoubtedly one of the largest and most impressive dessert selections we have ever seen outside of a five-star hotel. However, due to the host’s constant rushing, we could not truly enjoy it, leaving us disappointed despite the wonderful offerings.
We spent between $38 and $40 per person expecting not only great cuisine but also a respectful and enjoyable dining atmosphere. Instead, we left feeling rushed, unwelcome, and unable to properly celebrate the occasion with my mother.
I hope you take this feedback seriously and address this issue to ensure future guests, especially those celebrating meaningful occasions, receive the warmth and hospitality that should accompany a...
Read moreYuck. I heard from a friend this was a good restaurant- but why should it be good, when there is next to no restaurants in this area that are good? My friend said they are Indian and she enjoys the Indian dishes more so I went with that advice. I ordered Mulligatawny Soup. It barely has flavor, of any kind, I would have been happy with salt, such a disappointment. I also ordered Massaman Curry, 17.99, which I think may be good to people who live snicker-doodles. I also ordered Pad Thai, vegetarian. 17.50. Two pieces of broccoli, few slivers of carrot, and a big starchy lump of noodles, no lime, no spice, no sesame, or even peanut- no scallions, well really nothing, and because it is pasta, I added things to it so that it was edible, I asked for it to be spicy, not a bit spicy. I also ordered a green asked, that is fine. This order was close to 80.00! What happened to Indian food being on the economical side? Again, restaurants in this area, make Manhattan cuisine look affordable by comparison. Big disappointment. Unfortunately there is a trend in food, where Vegetable dishes are the same price as those with meat, it is probably because of the change in Americans eating style, vegan, etc. So you charge the same as dishes with me, how about some veggies???!!! Id like to know who was in the kitchen- like in Rockaway beach, Mexican fusion restaurant Pico, doesn't even have Mexican people in their employ- it doesn't taste like it was made by anyone familiar with Thai, or Indian cuisine. Its back to the cookbook...
