Went here today Thursday March 7th 2024 to drop off 2 bags of donation clothes because i did some "spring cleaning" and cleaned out my closet. Easy donation process where one just puts them in the blue bins that are inside. Unlike others that have posted here, 3 people offered to help carry the bags inside for us- so maybe one just encountered others on a bad day. lots of parking is available in the parking lot, as it shares with a shopping center and other stores. Easy donation dropoff process, and there is a tax form that you can fill out if one needs. Then, looked around the clothing section because i wanted a sweater for work, and to look. found some cute stuff. as they say, Another person's trash is someone else's treasure! and it is relatively new stuff that is 6.00 each, and colors are discounted too! (believe this week was red!) I don't normally shop in thrift stores, but this is an excellent deal! Also to note that all of the clothes that are out on the sales floor, look really clean with no rips or imperfections. Also like how they have a fitting room so that one can try things on like i did! Besides clothes, they also have a home section, bags, accesseries, and media like books and dvds. They also have mens clothes and kids clothes, but alot more choices in the womens section. Definetely will be back next time for more donations, and to check the store out maybe more! Also, cashier was very nice and friendly, paid $36.00 for 6 items. They don't charge for using a credit card, and paid via that. Also duly note: the reciept says Vails Gate, NY, and this says New Windsor. It's the same location, looks like it's on the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe prices are quite high depending on what you find.. a used dress shouldnāt be 10-20$, used beat up sneakers $20, sometimes you find a score, something w a designer brand, new w tags or reasonably priced, but many items in store arenāt worth the prices, the purses are pretty awful and most of the shoes.. many things are priced at more than the item would be new and well worn. Some Staff is very nice, some the opposite, between the over priced clothing and the no trying on due to covid and no returns clothes are quite a gamble .. seeing as how people are able to touch the clothing all over its boggling that throwing on a blazer over your shirt is an issue but it is and they will make an announcement about it and confront you but other people try a cart of clothes on and staff pretend they donāt see.. Iāve spent about 200$ In recent trips in the last 2 weeks about $150 on some new w tags fancy bras/ corresponding underwear lingerie w and still not up to 50pts which earns you what? $5.. My preferred thrift store the money goes to a good cause and the prices are much more reasonable.. this is a for profit business not sure why...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI've been shopping here on and off for years, and I donate lots and lots of items. Unfortunately, what happened yesterday turned me off to the store, possibly for either a very long time or for good. I waited 15 minutes to use the dressing room to try on a couple of pairs of shorts that I intended to buy. Once the other customer was finally finished, I entered the dressing room, only to be rudely made aware that one of the workers there did not want me in the dressing room. She obnoxiously banged as loud as she could on the outside of the dressing room door and gave me a nonsensical order saying that the store could not be responsible for people in the dressing rooms therefore I must leave. She made absolutely no sense, no explanation, was not polite in any way. Just move it. If I were the manager of the store, I would fire her immediately for...
