Fish & Chikzzz — Restaurant in Town of New Windsor

I attended a dinner party that was catered at this location over the weekend and the host planned to have a full meal including baked & fried chicken, fish, shrimp, macaroni & cheese, collard green and yams with iced tea or lemonade and cornbread on the side. It has nice music playing over the speakers and a comfortable setting for a large group of people to be seated.

Our party was set up for groups of five to go up to the counter to get a plate and this unfortunately, was a super slow process. We stood there for a long time waiting on food that was supposed to be hot and ready an hour prior but it wasn’t. No one told us what was going on for a while and we just stood there and waited. It seemed a little disorganized. Finally, They had us sit back down while they warmed the food back up. Only one person got a plate of food and that was cold too. When the rest of the group finally got their food, it was just okay, cold, and some of it wasnt seasoned enough. All of the guests ate their food, but we all felt like it wasn’t hot enough and just needed a little more love put into it. The man in charge was really nice, but upset the host when he originally ensured her that everyone would get large plates of food and have plenty for seconds. Only one person tried, it was the birthday boy and he tried to get a plate but was turned away and told there was no more food left. Overall, we made the best of it and had a nice time, but it may not be the best choice for a party. I hope they can improve things and do better for the next person who secures them...

I am giving one star not because the food or something like that , but there was nobody was at the resturant serving today at 3:30pm ish when I reached there only the cleaning person was there. Today for the first time I rode there from queens to the resturant because lot of my rider friends reccomend me to try the food there. But I was very dishantened when I rode more than 80 miles to the restuerant and it was still closed way after the opening hours on a Monday. I even met a guy who also arrived 5 minutes after I reached and he is a local, and he told me whenever he chceked on the resturant It was always closed, and this has been happening for more than a month. It is very unprofessional and Impolite to not to mention that opeartion timings are irregular on the Hours section on google. Atleast I could have called to check up on the operation hours of the resturant before visiting the place, and not have wasted my time, Fish and Chikzz staff please look into this matter. Though I will visit later one day to try the food but not soon though because I live very far. Sorry for all the negativity, I was really frustated today when I saw the place was closed after I reached there, It felt like I rode there today...

Came here the other night very nice atmosphere inside they had a dj who was playing good music only thing It was really loud you couldn't hear the person you were talking to. It was also 9 o'clock on a Friday so to be expected. I got the whiting fish, scallops, shrimp, cornbread, and Mac and cheese with hot sauce and tarter. The seafood was chefs kiss I'm a sucker for scallops and they were delicious. The batter they use to fry I would say could use a little more seasoning but if you use the sauces you cant tell. The corn bread was very good but it was more like a cake than a bread, it almost tasted like vanilla cake mix and corn bread mix mixed together. The Mac and cheese on the other hand was not good, the seasoning was good but it was very very dry. When it came to the bar it seemed like they didn’t have that many options wine/spirit wise not sure if they were just out or what. Some recommendation I would make would be in investing in some wine glasses because It was being served in a champagne glasses and bringing out lemon slices with the...
