Where do I start…..there were very few people there when we arrived around noon on 10-17 with my daughter. We ordered our sandwiches and waited, waited, waited. I went to the counter to check on the ordered it seemed they had forgotten all about it. We finally got our sandwiches, and my chopped cheese sandwich had MEAT on it, despite the description in the menu on the wall saying NOTHING about having any meat. The guy seemed incredulous, saying “it’s our famous chopped cheese sandwich!!!!” as if the world should know what was in it. Again, more waiting, waiting, waiting. I just wanted the chopped cheese sandwich, no meat. They served me a hard roll that does not have the grilled peppers or any peppers for that matter, raw onions, not grilled onions, lettuce, and cheese. I hate to do this because I actually like the place, and the food is good. If you order online, beware that you may not get what you order and this is the 3rd time it has happened to me. (Ordering inside usually isn't a problem). My Philly cheese steak ended up being a chopped cheese. It was good, but not what I ordered. Also, I added extra meat (paid extra$ ), peppers, and onions which all were missing. The season fries were also missing the seasoning. I'm from Brooklyn; I've been up here for about 2yrs and change. I've been starving for that real NY flavor, and now I have it. These brothers are from back home and between the vibe of the spot, the selections on offer, and the service itself; everything reminds me of home, and I'm eternally grateful to have them here. There's nothing like an authentic chop cheese, baconeggncheese, or a delicious lamb and chicken over rice. They do it up right, and it damn near brings tears to my eyes.
