We contracted for a dinner reception for 100 people for our daughter wedding in their party room July 2024. We finalized on appetizers to start on the table with a buffet dinner to follow from 5-9pm. Guest started arriving around 4:45. The room was not ready. Imagine that many people crammed into the small area for over 20 minutes. We entered around 5:10 once I opened the doors as they were still setting up the room. Around 5:25 I approached the “only” person working “asked when were the appetizers going to come out? His response was “when would you like them? I replied 15 minutes ago! He stated he needed 20 minutes to get them ready”! I then asked “ What time was dinner going to be put out? He replies “whenever I wanted!” Never ever have I had to “ask” to feed my guests. Party started at 5pm and dinner was not served until almost 6:30. As you can imagine the rest of the flow with the dessert and coffee were a disaster. My daughter and I had to cut/serve the cake. When I ask about coffee/tea the response was “oh would you like some?” Turns out they were extremely short staffed. One person worked a room for 100 guest. They had the cook and what appeared to be the busboy come out and help serve. At the end of the night after paying the bill and expressing our dissatisfaction with the service we basically got oops I’m sorry. So all that aside the food was delicious but the service was horrible. They should have shut down the restaurant side to accommodate such a large party. So buyer beware make sure you ask if the party will be properly staffed. Didn’t think we needed to ask?...

From the first sip of the house-made margarita to the last bite of churro, this place delivered a flawless Mexican dining experience. Every dish was bursting with fresh, bold flavors that transported us straight to the heart of Mexico.

We started with the chips and guacamole — warm, crispy chips paired with creamy, fresh guac made tableside with perfectly ripe avocados, lime, cilantro, and just a touch of heat. The salsa trio (roja, verde, and smoky chipotle) was the real deal — each one with its own punch and personality.

For mains, we tried the carne asada tacos and chicken enchiladas in mole sauce. The tacos were street-style perfection: charred steak, fresh onions, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime on soft corn tortillas. The mole was rich, complex, and clearly made from scratch — a balance of spice, chocolate, and warmth that takes real skill to get right.

The atmosphere was lively but not loud — colorful décor, upbeat Latin music, and a welcoming, family-style energy. Our server was kind, attentive, and knew the menu inside and out.

Dessert was a standout too — fresh churros, crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, served with warm chocolate and caramel sauces. Absolutely divine.

This spot isn’t just a meal, it’s an experience. Whether you're craving tacos, tamales, or a night out with friends, this place is it. Five stars without hesitation —...

This place was a really good place to dine in. I called and made a reservation, and it went smoothly. The waitress was very nice (didn't get her name I forgot. Must do better in this area) lol but all of my food came out hot which was a plus. I wasn't sure what to order to drink considering the menu that I was given just had food on it so I just order water with a lemon. But I did see everyone having wine so I guess that's the only thing on the menu to drink was wine but consider I don't drink it was probably good for me to stick with the water. The only thing thst caught my eye was when I asked for water she took my glass and brought it to the back but the other guest at other tables she had a pitcher and was filling there glass with water so I wasn't sure why that was so. My lamb was good but wasn't cooked the way that I asked which was medium well I received it well done and it was burnt. I did try the best I could with the gravy that was on my plate. The broccoli rab was amazing but the stems was a little tough so I cut them off the potatoes was amazing.

I have to say I would have given 5 stars but because of my lamb wasn't what I asked and I wasn't given a drink menu. But over all the service was good. I would recommend this place to others and I am considering going back to give it a second try with a few of my business partners. Will...

Not my favorite, but very decent quality food. I ordered the braised short rib ravioli, smoked salmon pasta, and duck risotto. All of the dishes were tasty but not exceptional either. The duck was impressive. The risotto, however, was heavily lacking flavor. That was probably the most disappointing part of the meal. Of the three dishes, I would recommend the short rib ravioli. Service was also decent. Our server made good suggestions, though they may have been spread too thin with the number of tables they were serving. Good to try once, but personally would not return

Absolutely delicious food and drinks at La Casa Vicina! Fantastic martinis, my date and I really enjoyed the Raspberry Lemon Martinis and I also liked the house Cabernet. She had the Grilled Salmon, loved it with avocado! I love their superb Saffron Risotto! For an appetizer we luxuriated their Burrata Mushrooms. And finally indulged in their delightful Tiramisu dessert! Everything at La Casa Vicina is definitely supreme and I recommend it to everyone for a great evening out!
