Abatino's — Restaurant in Town of North Castle

Went in for a nice dinner with my husband after looking at the area to possibly move to White Plains. The indoor set up was inviting, staff was really accomodating.The tables felt wobbly and there was alot of dirt everywhere. I am not what you would call a health nut by any means. But, I have NEVER tasted such dangerously over-salted AND GREASY food! Chicken rollotini was a noble attempt and looked beautiful...but was sooo salty and overly greasy I felt dizzy. Marsala sauce seemed like a plate full of lard and salt, and everything was soaked with grease(even when pressing the fork onto it). The mushrooms could have been good if they were not soaked in SALT. The calamari was ALSO extremely greasy and salty to the point of being inedible. After our meal we took a ride around the area and checked out the plaza/grocery store this place is attatched to. I accidentally took a wrong turn and ended up behind the grocery store/restaurant...and it was inundated with ALOT of mice, running back and forth. Maybe they are behind on garbage, or cutting corners on exterminator fees?? Idk, but that was it for me. It made me wonder how far that area was from the kitchen...or maybe mice in-restaurant? After the stomach upset, and then seeing all those mice...I will never go back there, or that plaza. They really need to clean up their act when...

I had the absolute pleasure of indulging in this incredible Chicken Rollatini, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of spectacular! From the first bite, I was met with an explosion of rich, savory flavors that made this dish truly unforgettable. The mushroom sauce is unbelievably addictive.

I came here on a Saturday around 4:30. Only 1 other customer was in the dining area. I order a Veal Milanese and my girl friend ordered a Chicken Parmesan and salad for dinner. I remember really liking the pizza here so we both ordered a slice of pizza each to start. The waitress said they don’t allow slices of pizza ordered in the dining area. I totally understand if we weren’t getting a main course, which I said to her. She said it was not allowed. I ended up getting up and leaving. The service was slow, as they didn’t offer us anything to drink before coming to take the food order. If they want this to be a restaurant, then don’t treat the customers like it’s a pizzeria. Customers should be greeted and offered something to drink when seated. There were about four servers walking around setting up a large party table while we waited for someone to even notice we were there waiting. The place was freezing cold to begin with so it wasn’t a hard decision. If customers are spending over $60 on a main course, they should be able to have a slice of pizza in the dining area.
