Update: Well, seems a different chef from years ago when i didn't enjoy the food. As an Asian descent, I know good Asian food. I am really so hungry and have no time to go to my go to Chinese place so I ventured back to David Chen to give it a try. I am glad I did. Their beef chow mei fun is spot on. And for Armonk, price is reasonable. Humongous serving size too plus soup included. Important to mention , it's not swimming in oil . Highly recommended. Previous post- 5 star for overall experience. I ordered my favorite chicken pan fried noodle and though taste isn't exactly I was used to , I enjoyed it a lot. Also, the size was humongous. Price was very reasonable. I was served tea with the biggest tea pitcher and ambiance was nice... like the traditional Chinese restaurant with big chandelier. Both owner and staff were very nice. Highly recommended.

Ordered delivery by calling the restaurant. While I did manage to order, I experienced the most abrasive and unwelcoming customer service. Guess this is one of the few Chinese food offerings in the area so people tolerate the rudeness. My recommendation is that the restaurant take orders online, as being hung up on after a difficult call without a “thank you” or “goodbye” is the icing on the cake. The food was ok, but I have had better. Tried the beef & broccoli (4/5), chicken chow fun (2/5) and the chicken & eggplant (3.5/5). Delivery was quick and I was surprised to even get my order after the initial phone order experience.

Such a nice dining experience. The facade of the restaurant is iconic. We were greeted by David and his team, who were very welcoming and attentive. They served us promptly. The decor inside gives an authentic feel. The menu is extensive, but not overbearing. The food was delicious. I had the Udon noodles which were awesome. Their lunch special between 11am and 3pm is worth the trip. Reasonable prices. A defenite weekly dinner or lunch outing.

Very disappointed with this last delivery order. I have been a patron for 15 years. I have previously given 5 stars. This last time my entire family said where did I get it from. It was not the same quality, yummy tasting food that came from here. Either a different chef or it was old left over food that was reheated. My orange chicken was soggy, the low main noodles were awful tasting with no veggies and my steamed veggies I asked cooked in a brown sauce they put the sauce on the side. Even the fortune cookies were bad, they were soft. I will give them another try in a few weeks, hopefully it was a different chef and the OLD one returns. I will need to find another go to Chinese food restaurant. And the left over rice have my dogs...

David Chen restaurant has a very varied menu; the food was good, but not great.

We arrived about an hour before closing and the restaurant was rather empty. It was also clear that our waiter had been looking forward to getting out early, so we didn't exactly feel welcomed.

My partner chose a curry dish and I had a Thai dish. The menu does have a lot of choices, but that may mean they're not especially good at any of them. At any rate, the curry dish was fine, but I thought the Thai dish was ok, but not any better than that.

One visit may not be sufficient to fully judge a restaurant, so it's slightly unfair, but based on this visit, I'd try another place before choosing to...
