Casa Tequila — Restaurant in Town of North Castle

The service was great, the decor was dope. I apologize but the food and drinks weren't very good in my opinion. Went in on Memorial Day 2023 at around 2:30pm, just happened to drive by and give it a shot. There was one large group there and 4 couples / small groups seated outside on the patio, which was pretty nice. The indoor decor was dope, great cozy spot. As we walked in, there was one guy that was the host/bartender/waiter with only 2 other busboys/servers. I didn't get thier names but they were very attentive despite being spread thin, great service. We got complementary chips and salsa, yes! Came with a bean dip and a salsa botanera (for dipping chips in)...now in my experience you use a small amount of black pepper if any for this kind of salsa, this tasted like a straight up black pepper smh. Got the wings as an app...they were ok. Ordered some drinks....the venenosa and La Chingona margaritas. We got a little extra because bartender made too much lol (yay), but there was barely any tequila in it. As our main course we got a chefs salad with chicken and an order of tostadas with chicken. The salad was very good but very steep (about $20) for the handful of salad you get. The tostadas with what I assume was tinga, had no flavor. The staff was very attentive, great service and again the decor was great but I feel bad for writing a review like this, I'm sure the bartender/chef/cooks worked hard to get this food and drinks out but unfortunately what we ordered did not come out very good for...

My reviews are for vegetarian/vegan food .This place is like a hour away from me we all friends decided to go here .this is in beautiful town armonk NY . We got a great table right near window we were 6 of us so we were happy as we could get loud 😃 .the food was fresh and looked healthy was not too greasy and oily and not cheesy which most of Mexican Restaurants . are ! The beet salad was amazing the shishito peppers were ok too oily. The tostadas and tacos were amazing and also quesadillas. I must say we enjoyed the food more because our server was amazing and the chef who accommodate all our requests as we did little changes here and there :) the server was so gracias and helpful and always smiling not a bit of frustration on his face he might have had but he did not show us 😊 when you get service like this you don’t mind tipping extra but these days no service and forced to pay 20% .I have decided if I don’t get service am not paying that’s it these restaurants owners think they are entitled! Service =TIP .Anyways a must go and the town itself is so pretty maybe you can make a day trip of this town and eat here .Ambience is nice very nice crowd maybe a little upscale I feel...

Seriously don't come to this place.

Their website menu lures you in you in with prices that are 20% to 30% below the actual menu price. When I brought this to the manager's attention he explained to me that it was the lunch menu price. Basically admitting that he knew about the problem and hadn't done anything about it. Because here's the rub there is no dinner menu on the web page you can't access it and it doesn't exist. And their actual dinner menu in the restaurant doesn't have prices on half of the items so that they could just charge you whatever they want. Like one of the Margaritas that we ordered which was $30!!!!!!!

The attitude of the manager is what really threw me over the top. So condescending, so entitled, acting as if I had no idea what I was talking about and that he was right and I was wrong before he even herd a word I said. I will never ever ever ever come back here. I walked out in the middle of our meal. Whoever's in charge of this place should be in jail, not running a restaurant.

So save yourself the grief the trouble and the scams and go...
