First off, I love Stewartâs and I have a huge appreciation for the employees. This Stewartâs is the absolute worst shop I have been to for many many reasons, not all of which I will go into. I have been treated very poorly by the staff, especially when ordering ice cream, or an iced coffee. I understand the work is tedious, but it is part of the job, and customers shop at Stewarts ESPECIALLY for the ice cream. The experience can be RUINED when an employee begrudgingly makes you an ice cream cone after giving you an attitude, and rolling their eyes. I have only experienced this, and many other rotten attitudes at this store. Tonight I walked in with my family and I ordered a brownie Sunday while my family finished checking out, and waited in the car. There was a line of 2 people behind me, and the girl who checked me out left the other customers waiting for about 15 minutes total, while she went to get the brownie from the freezer, and made my Sunday. She was SO sweet though, but it was clear she did not know what she was doing. She did not wash her hands before putting on her gloves, and she did not change her gloves once, but she went to the freezer (touching door knobs, and boxes to get the brownie) and put my brownie in the microwave with nothing underneath it, touching the bottom of the microwave directly. She used the incorrect sundae container, not enough ice cream, and pushed the brownie down with her fingers (dirty gloves) to fit it on the into the incorrect container. She gave it to me like that, and I asked, âOh, could I get hot fudge or something on this?â The other employee in the back yelled, â NO! Donât bother, the hot fudge is no good.â And the girl said âOh okay the hot fudge isnât good sorry hahaâ to which I responded, âOkay, could I get whipped cream, cherry, or nuts?â She walked slowly to the cooler, grabbed a can of whipped cream, did not shake it up, and without a glove she sprayed it messily on my sundae, and said âThere you go.â To which she left to finally take care of the other customers. I did not get nuts, or a cherry. -I would not have ordered a brownie Sunday if I knew there was no hot fudge, cherry, or nuts- I understand this store operates this way, and I understand she is trained to her store, and that is just how this store functions. I threw out my Sunday, as I was not about to eat contaminated food from her dirty gloves, I was sickened. Turning to leave, I noticed food in the warmer coded for 2pm. I have a friend who has been working at Stewartâs for almost 4 years now, so I know the âhot foodâ items have a 3 hour code, meaning the eggwhich was made at around 11am. It was 9pm. The food was almost 10 hours old. I see food THIS MANY HOURS+ out of code in this store almost EVERY time I go in here, and Iâve gone in with my friend from Stewartâs multiple times, and she always points this out. Management really needs to step up, train their employees CORRECTLY, and learn to treat customers with a positive attitude. MAKE FRESH FOOD when it runs out of its coded time. I love Stewartâs, and the lovely young women in this shop have always treated me kindly. Always smiling, and cheery. But they are not trained well, and the older men and women are unkind, and have a bad attitude. You are ruining your companyâs reputation. (Picture is of my âbrownie sundaeâ before the...
Read moreI went there because someone told me these guys make great milkshakes. So I went there alk excited.
At the counter: Me: I hear you guys make the best milkshakes in town. Counter operator: I don't know if we have the best, what do you want? (Filled with attitude and despise)
Completely turned off, I placed the order. They didn't even ask if you wanted the receipt. Ok, save the planet. Good. 5 minutes later, I am getting the question: What flavor did you want? And then asking me if I want whipped cream. I told all of these at the counter earlier. I didn't see the whipped cream on.
"They are the best customer friendly shop that I have ever visited in the whole NY state!"
I know it's just one incident, but I choose to avoid this location forever. Well, if all the other gas stations are empty and then my car runs out of gas right in front of this shop, then I might push my car in and fuel it. That's how terrible I felt.
If the shop owner is commenting below and wondering if I ever visited, yes, I have it on Google timeline and on my credit card (5.39 on 01/26) but I was not given the receipt of purchase which I am not sure it's legal in the whole US.
About the quality of the milkshake, it's a step below the 5G milkshake. More options are available than...
Read moreI was on my way home after studying at the library and my tire pressure light came on. It was after 12am so the store was closed and I was trying to get the air into my tire for a solid 10 minutes and all I was capable of doing was letting the air out and lowering my tire pressure further. Luckily there was an employee there closing the shop and they immediately unlocked the door when they heard my situation and filled my tires with air so I could leave. I was panicking and miserable and this small act of kindness really made my entire evening. I cannot express my gratitude enough for the employee who worked the night shift and went out of their way after their shift was already over to help me. Thank you thank...
