Cassariano Italian Eatery — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

I have been anxious to try this spot but I hate to say it, I was disappointed. We had reservations for a group of 9 to celebrate 2 birthdays. Some of us who arrived first waited by the bar. There were only 2 patrons seated at the bar and the bartender never acknowledged us. We had to ask if we could order drinks. Once seated, it took a while to place orders for drinks, once we did and they were served, our waiter didn't know who ordered what drink. Pretty much the same thing happened with the food. Appetizers were ordered, and 2 of the same was brought out but only 1 was ordered and one person never got her baked clams. When she finally asked, he apologized and said he put in the wrong order (hence that extra appetizer that no one ordered). When she finally got her clams, she was full from picking but that was it. The clams were delicious though. I had the rice ball appetizer and it was also very good. I didn't care for the margarita I ordered from their drink menu .. it was messy. The tahini on the rim was ozzing off the glass and yellow dripped were every where including my blouse but that could easily happen, no one is at fault. I asked for a different drink but when I got it, it was wrong. I hated to send it back but it was wrong so I did. I finally got a good drink. When entrees came out, the waiter didn't know who ordered what. He would ask only one side of the table and when no one answered, he shrugged his shoulders almost like he was annoyed but he never asked the other side and the ladies were chatting. I finally got his attention to let him know whose dish I thought it was. Someone ordered a pasta dish with no sausage and some of us ordered it as is. She got the dish with the sausage and when she told them it was wrong they took it away to later realize hers was given to someone else and he just took the dish from one friend and passed it to another when it was already eaten from! An espresso martini was ordered but when it came it was brown liquid with ice cubes in it. When my friend questioned it the waiter got really nasty with her. We were shocked. We know he didn't make the drink but all he had to do was bring it back to the bartender. He finally did after a few of us had to explain that an espresso martini should not have ice cubes and should be different color or layered. She finally got a good drink. We ordered dessert and he skipped one person at the table . We had to call him back. He eventually came out with the birthday desserts with candles lit but no one was sitting at the table. Some went to dance or the restroom. He didnt even check if we were all seated to sing happy birthday or least to make sure the birthday girls were seated. My dessert cordial never came, when I asked him about it he said "oh we don't have that". So he was never going to mention it? We all finished out desserts and one friend never got hers... When she asked him, again he said ,"oh we don't have it"... He never mentioned it unless asked. We never got the truffle fries we ordered but didn't even bring it up when we realized it. He was annoyed with us as we were with him. After we paid the check he came out with the missing dessert that he said they didnt have and my friend in annoyance refused it. Our check had an automatic 20% gratuity, and I my opinion he didn't deserve it, nor did the bartender who still never made eye contact with us. The manager at the end of the night came to check on us but we didn't want to cause any problems because we planned to stay and dance. The food was good, drinks on par, but the waiter...Mr. Sal L was not able to handle a group of 9. We go out to dinner very often, we eat good food and drink a lot .. we barely had a bar tab here. We danced a bit and some of us left and went somewhere else where we were acknowledged by the bartender. Maybe because we were not regulars there? Not sure. And I will say this is the 1st time I have written a review like this. I always write positive reviews or I don't...

This has to be the worst experience I have ever had with a restaurant. My best friend called and booked her 40th birthday dinner here two weeks prior to the date. She booked a room for about 25 people. When we got there the manager said they rebooked the room for another party the night before. They did not call or give any notice to my friend. We found out when we got there. They squeezed us into this long table by the exit. Waiters kept bumping into our chairs, since we did not fit there.

They gave us one waiter who was clearly on some kind of upper with the way he was acting and talking. He was rude, as well. I was helping him out and tallying up the drink order for him to make it easier and help him out. I said don’t worry I got you. He then yelled out “YOU DO NOT HAVE ME. YOU ARE SITTING AND I AM STANDING HERE, SO DON’T SAY YOU HAVE ME. “ I said to him “You need to calm down because I just helped you.” He then put in iPhone ear pods in and walked away. He then proceeded to talk about us to customers that were sitting at the bar. I confirmed this with one of them.

We were there two ours and did not received our entrees. Other tables around us who got seated way after us were finished with their dinners and paying their bills and shocked that we had not received our entrees.

We ended up leaving after the two hours. We still tipped the rude waiter for his effort, but definitely not for his attitude or sobriety.

They RUINED my friends 40th Birthday. That is something she will never get back and will always have the terrible...

I booked a separate room a month and a half in advance for my birthday. Told the manager I would have 20-25 people there! Confirmed a few days prior.. So, when getting there I see they have a table for us by the exit and not the room! Spoke to the manager and he told me he wasn’t there the night before and they went ahead and booked my room to someone else. He said it was a “bigger party and it’s a Saturday night”. I received no notice of this whatsoever! So they sat us near the exit which was not enough room for all of the 23 people that showed up. Still tried to make the best of it. They sat us in a very tight spot people, waiters and staff kept pushing into us!! We all got there on time reservations were for 8. We had 1 waiter for 23 people. We had the waiter shouting at us with AirPods in his ears. He disappeared 10-20 mins at a time. People were waiting for drinks. It was too much for him to handle! It was already 10pm now and we all got there at 8pm and still did not receive our entrees. At that point I was already fed up and wanted to leave. Offered to pay for half but the manger said we didn’t have to. We all tipped the waiter bc we felt bad. The least they could’ve done was be a little more accommodating to us considering they gave our room to a bigger group which wasn’t even a bigger group. They made us feel like we didn’t matter and definitely ruined my birthday!! Never going here again. They were very unprofessional!! Very!! Don’t plan your party here! They will give it to someone else with...
