We ended up purchasing a new mattress which is super comfortable and was delivered by an actual manager who felt bad about what happened, only he was not able to give us a refund for the old mattress and we had to cut our loss of over 500 dollars for the first one. We got another 90 days to check the new one out and are satisfied with no need to return.
We are stuck with a super hard mattress and it is not the measurements it is supposed to be which is 80 x 60; it is 58 x 78. The box spring sticks out. The store absolutely would not help us and said they honored their contract. We went to the store and exchanged our first mattress; however, the one that was delivered was as above in measurements and is as hard as sleeping on plywood. They would not help us even in giving us a discount on a new mattress or giving us any help at all. We have to purchase a new mattress so are looking at a 700 dollar loss. They will at least have to come and remove the old mattress and box spring but will most likely resell or get money back for returning it to the manufacturer. They were rude and heartless, especially the manager at Orchard Park. She completely talked over me and was extremely condescending. Go to City Mattress! I wish we would have but we did not and now are stuck with a huge loss.
The only good thing is their online help - they are super helpful and seem to really care about helping, at least as far as they are able.
UPDATE: We just ordered the Serta iComfortECO? Q10 Medium Quilted Hybrid online, and it is unbelievable how completely different the online ordering is compared to the local company here. What a difference! We were given professional help and understanding of our situation in choosing a new mattress. Delivery was smooth and all our questions were answered. We purchased the comfort guarantee again and are now 100% clear how that works, so we have after 90 days, up to 120 days, to return if not satisfied for another mattress.
Unfortunately, we are still paying for the first mattress, which they did haul away for us, but it was a way cheaper one and we could not even sleep on it anyway. There was no way we were even giving it away because it was so uncomfortable and hard as a rock, and it was NOT 80x60 as it was supposed to be!

Read moreThe purchase we made from Raymour & Flanigan has caused me so much stress. The product was advertised as being available to see in person at the Carl Place store. When we arrived, back in late August, the exact product I was interested in was not on the display floor. A representative piece was there, and it was beautiful; it was well constructed and of high quality wood. We were advised by the salesperson that the furniture could be purchased after being viewed on the web page. He showed us the pieces and they "looked" perfect. After six weeks the furniture arrived and it was beautiful. But the bed, which is a platform bed was huge. The top of the mattress is actually higher than my waist and I need a step ladder to get into bed. When we went back to the store to ask for help in getting something done to make the bed safe, we were offered a different mattress that was lower. It was an inch and a half lower, and $513 more. OK, we went for that and it helped a tiny bit. But a step ladder is still needed to get into bed. We were promised a call back to see if anything else could be done. No call was ever received. Two weeks later, we went back to ask what was the outcome of our request for help. We were told that once the furniture is delivered it is a final sale. Upon not accepting that as a final answer, we were told by the store manager, who was understanding and acknowledged that the bed is dangerous, said he would look into what could be done and would call us ASAP, within a few days. Again, no call has ever been received. So, I would say, the furniture Raymour & Flanigan sells is of good quality. However, their customer service is awful. The only thing they offer is empty promises to check into the situation. I don't even think it deserves a one star. Negative rating is the only appropriate rating for the lack of problem solving, in my opinion.
