Fly Chick to the Moon | Korean Fried Chicken & Bar — Restaurant in Town of North Hempstead

My nephew and I just had dinner at this new local spot during its soft opening. We’ve eaten at Korean restaurants before and wanted to support local businesses of Port Washington. We ordered a bunch of stuff off the menu. We started with the Egg white omelette with shrimp and it was very good. Our next dish was the seafood pancake and it tasted like the bottom of a pond. It was so fishy and putrid that we each had one bite and were worried that we would actually get sick. We couldn’t get the horrible taste out of our mouths. I nicely told the waiter and sent it back. At end of the meal, we were told that the owner/manager who didn’t come to our table to apologize was refusing to take off the bill. We were in shock especially since we barely ate it and we were nauseous from the taste. This business is not going to last a year and...

This food is delicious. This was our 2nd time going and the food was excellent both times. The chicken legs are huge and the family meals are absolutely worth the price. We’ve had the wings, legs, popcorn chicken, dumplings, and fries and all are delicious. The Parmesan fries were ok and worth it if you want to spice up their great plain fries. The servers are wonderful, knowledgeable, and helpful. I would strongly recommend eating at the restaurant as the food is so hot and fresh as it is made to order. Wings take about 10 minutes, and legs 20 so keep that in mind when ordering as they bring food out as it is ready. The sauces are so tasty that they use and our go to is the soy garlic. I love this place so much! I had a fantastic experience at Fly Chick to the Moon! The drumsticks (glazed, mild) were incredibly crispy and flavorful—one of the best I’ve had. My daughter really enjoyed the soy garlic wings and the mango slush, which was refreshing and delicious. The Tteokbokki was amazing—perfectly chewy with great flavor.
