What Do the Locals Eat on Changdao? Restaurant Recommendations

Great spot for pizza or a casual night out for the family. It's group friendly seating and there are select tables for those who do not want table service. They do charge 3% table service fee on the bill if you dine in and need service. Best stuffed pizza - meat slice. Had ham, sausage and pepperoni. The stuffed eggplant was good but needed more eggplant...one layer doesn't cut it. Crispino slice was the best as far as fresh ingredients and the Sicilian crust. Baked clams were good but a tad too salty. Overall a solid spot.

Gino's of Manhasset has a new location but still the same great pizza! The new building is a nice upgrade from the previous location and they did a nice job with the renovation. I had a regular slice cheese it was good, crust & sauce were excellent overall a 7.8/10. The Margherita pizza is my favorite, the crust is thin and crispy a solid 8/10. The service was good, the staff were polite and I received my order quickly.

I won't be coming here again. Only came bc my nephew wanted italian ice.

Received quite rude service. I came in at 12pm, prime lunch time, and ordered pizzas and a spaghetti and meatballs dish. We ordered from a takeout menu, where both lunch and dinner prices were listed.

When the bill came, I saw that I was charged dinner price for the spaghetti and meatballs dish. I told the waiter I believe I was charged the wrong price. He proceeds to tell me that I didn't specify whether I wanted lunch or dinner portions so it's automatically charged at dinner price. I told him that I was unaware that I had to specify what portion size if it was at 12pm, lunchtime. I understand if I went at 4pm or after, it would be reasonable to ask for clarification of the portion size. But at 12pm?! If I went into a restaurant during lunch time hours, I have never been asked to specify whether or not I want lunch or dinner portions. The waiter proceeds to explain that is how they do it at Gino's, always dinner portions, how matter what time, unless the customer specifies what size. I asked him if it was possible to order lunch portions at prime dinner time, and he didn't answer me. I actually prefer and usually go to Villa Milano pizza anyways, so I will continue to go there and support that local business.

So be warned, apparently you have to always specify what size you want, or you automatically get charged...

That Cajun shrimp sauce tho. That's all you need to order here and you're set for your whole meal. You won't regret it. It's buttery and really tasty. My friends and I could probably just order that and be satisfied. We usually take the free slices of baguette and let it sit in the sauce for a few minutes to soak up all the goodness. The jerk chicken is pretty good too, but has a slight kick. It comes with rice and the meat is tender a juicy and not over cooked.

A lot of people come to order their jug of sangria. It's not bad I wish they would add more fruits to it tho.

The lighting and ambiance to the restaurant is also Instagram worthy. There's a full bar in the middle of the restaurant and a second floor with a few seatings that has the view that overlooks the kitchen and the whole restaurant downstairs that's a bit entertaining. The waiters are very...

We come here regularly for slices to go. Prices are standard for the area. We are happy with the buffalo chicken, grandma, margherita, salad, and spinach/artichoke slices. Quality is consistent and they are pretty fast with getting people served even during a dinner rush. They have plenty of seating area for table service though doesn't seem to be for just casually eating with friends without the service except for a few seats by the window. Regardless, they do have some good vegetarian slices compared to some places which just have vegetables on cheese. I am very biased though and love artichokes! Great place. I would recommend it for pizza. You can park in the back with a few quarters to run...
