I came to this location on 09/28 with a friend of mine and we traveled from Queens. I checked online and noticed they closed at 8:00pm. I walked inside Gong Cha at 7:44pm and both the girls that worked there immediately said, “Sorry we are closed”. I questioned them and asked, “I thought this location closes at 8:00pm”. They responded saying, “We closed early today because we ran out of supplies”. I’ve been to plenty boba shops, and Gong Cha has got to be one of the best boba shops I’ve been to. The atmosphere is comfortable, the workers are friendly, and they have a rewards system for every time you purchase. Although I wish there were more options in terms of the rewards, their boba tea is fantastic. Most boba shops don’t make waffles, but at Gong Cha you’re able to add pearls inside the boba waffle and it’s amazing. I am originally from a place that does not have a gongcha and my first experience was overseas. Needless to say, I was so excited to see one literally 2 blocks away from me.
