One of the TOP 100 pizzerias in the world—right here on Long Island! 🍕 🔥 Meet Rob, the pizza master behind Taglio Pizza @Rob Cervoni , serving up Roman-style perfection. Who’s craving a slice? Taglio Pizza Massapequa Park New York

Taglio is my go-to pizza place whenever I am catching a train by the Mineola LIRR station. They serve roman-style pizza which are crispy rectangular slices coming in a variety of styles including a white slice, vodka slice, eggplant slice, and much more. Their options are endless and I am sure that if you visit, they will have something of your liking. For a recommendation, I usually get the Bianco Roman slice and the Melenzane Roman Slice. Other than the fact they serve roman-style pizza, this restaurant is like any other NY pizzeria where you can order your slices and choose to sit in their small seating area or take it to go. The restaurant is clean and the staff is generally nice. There is parking nearby so it should not be an issue. --------- PLEASE READ: I am creating a new Pizza Review Series in which I will be rating slices from over 30 different pizzerias in my local area in Nassau County, Long Island. I will use a regular cheese slice as a baseline and a specialty slice as added depth to the review. These rating are solely based on my opinion and taste preference so please do not be offended if one of my ratings does not align with your opinion on the pizza. I am excited to have Taglio as my second review in this series! #2 Taglio Pizza Cheese slice: a good slice with a fair amount of cheese and sauce. Crust was a little dry and there was some flop to the slice. I had to throw out the end of the crust because it was hard to finish. Not too greasy and minimal oil drip. Overall, I would rate this slice an 8.2/10. Specialty slice: For my specialty slice, I ordered a Bianco Roman Slice. The slice had a good balance of four different cheeses and I like the fact that the ricotta did not overpower the other cheeses. I also like that they added garlic, which really enhances the flavor of a white slice. I know a lot of places that forget this important step. The crust was very dry though and it felt like I was eating a very crispy piece of ciabatta bread topped with cheese and basil. It was definitely not one cohesive slice. It could be due to the pie possibly sitting out for a while or it was just made like this. I will have to try it fresh next time. Overall, I would rate this slice a 8.3/10. For more ratings please see my Pizza Ratings Collection on my profile.

I was last here about 6 months ago. I returned with a friend today. 6 months ago the slice was near perfect. Typical slices are a bit bigger but want a problem then. Now they raised their prices by quite a bit. $4 a slice, $5.50 for a pepperoni slice. That's pretty steep especially when they tack on the tax after. 6 months ago the slice was about the same size but it send as the quality was better. Not worth the price. I feel as if they raised their prices either because of inflation, which doesn't account for the steep increase, or the 50toppizza list putting them in the top 100 in the world. Now about that 50toppizza list, they currently don't deserve their ranking especially if it's a reason to raise their prices. They were busy and the counter help was also baking the pies. When it's busy, they forget to turn the pies. Within the 5 minutes I waited at the counter, they burned 3 pies on one side because they forgot to rotate the pies as they baked. If 50toppizza made a return, they'd lose their ranking on the list. 6 months ago is give them 4 stars, can't go above 3 and in questioning whether they deserve that given 2pm on a Saturday in the beginning of February, they kept burning pies and charged way too much. I hope the owners read this and take my words to heart. Something good is being ruined. I get the whole price thing with the cost of ingredients and labor, rent, utilities and all but for the size, quality and price of the end product, there are plenty of good pizzerias in and or near Mineola who deserves our patronage. Make Taglios worth it for us! EDIT: The owner just replied that they haven't raised their prices in at least 3 years. So that means they've been over priced for that long. I don't want to argue but you're really not helping with the whole point I made about value and quality. Don't focus only on my comments regards the price, consider all the points I made and ask yourself, how can we be better than everyone else and make it worth it.

Okay so we all have seen on Facebook or heard about the buzz about Taglio Pizza...well my fellow pizza lovers the reality absolutely does not come close to the hype....and I know Pizza being from Brooklyn, dining in Manhattan and the Bronx....Firstly Saturday at 4pm no ownership in site just a bunch of kids running this place with computerized ovens...place had some people there, not super busy, all the pizza looked like it was sitting there too long and had to be reheated where when served was not heated enough or over cooked....pretty aweful...there were another 6 families there for the first time that were equally disappointed....needless to say never come back...what a bust.....I spoke to the young girls behind the register and when I complained they both said we have been hearing that alot....well that tells all doesn't it??!! Bottom line pizza was terrible...don't understand the hype....probably a social network push with false info to drum up business.....heard your opening up in Massapequa, well my Italian friends from there will never eat this stuff ....good luck with that. So many better choices out there by far. Everyone in the place was disappointed with your pizza.....sorry to dump on your place but your pizza is terrible. And please don't make excuses as you did in other posts. I know all the different styles of pizza making and this pizza is just horrible.....this is how I feel when I drive out of my way, waste my time and disappoint my palate and tastebuds. BUYER BEWARE!!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! ....in response to your comment.... Not angry wouldn't waste that kind of energy on this BUT extremely disappointed that your pizza was horrible and once again your excuse is you're overwhelmed with business, that's absolutely a lie...you weren't that busy your food quality was just bad and the false advertisement and hype that you were rated so highly was just a falsehood....take constructive criticism and be smart business people and listen to your customers...or should I say X- customers....bottom line your pizza...
