1st and last time we will be dining here. I decided to try this place out for the very 1st time. I arrive with no reservation and I get seated right away. There is a whole restaurant empty and they decided to seat me at the very 1st table by the door by the fish tank, I mean come on! Why?? would you do that. But I requested to go further back instead to be seated. Fine I let that go.
The buffet menus are brought to us but I wanted the la carte menu instead. So we ordered from the regular menu instead, 5 sushi rolls. The 4 rolls were ok but nothing special, the specialty roll stood out as being good. The service was pretty slow for a place that wasnt busy at the time. We were even debating next time we come we will just stick with the specialty rolls since that was better than the regular rolls.
What really did it for ME is that the bill came at the end and noticed the prices of the rolls were increased. The prices werent the same as the menu that I ordred from. I went to the front of the place to get a menu and the manager saw me grab one and walk back to my table. I was right that the prices in the menu were less then what I was given. I was overcharged and was pretty upset. Do they think no one will look at the actual bill and just pay what they are charged??? Before I can say anything the waitress comes over, that was sent over by the manager who saw me grab a menu and told me the menu they have are the old prices and the new prices were the ones billed on my bill. FIRST OF ALL WHY WOULD YOU SERVE EVERYONE THE OLD MENU BUT CHARGE THEM MORE ON THE BILL WITHOUT EVEN SAYING ANYTHING TO YOUR CUSTOMERS????? NOWHERE in my interaction with her during when my order was placed did anyone tell us those were the old prices. After the waitress saw that I was pretty angry at this trick they did, she told me she will change my bill and give me the original menu prices.
NO ONE THOUGHT that i would actually review my bill and remember that the prices they charged me were more than what I saw in the menu. I HATE TO BE TRICKED BY ANY ONE RESTUARANT. THIS IS MY FIRST & LAST TIME I WILL EVER STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE. YOU JUST LOST CUSTOMERS BECAUSE OF THIS BS!!! NO TIP IS IN ORDER FOR A TRICK LIKE THAT!
REMEMBER TO CHECK YOUR BILL IN THIS PLACE...
Read moreCame here around 12:30pm for Sunday lunch. Plenty of parking available in the lot. There was one other table already there (this was about 30 minutes after open). We were seated promptly and received menus for the AYCE lunch special (costs twenty dollars per person). This also came with a free soda for each person (the dinner AYCE for $30 pp comes with an alcoholic beverage). The lunch special only had different rolls as sushi options, so no sashimi or nigiri, in addition to the typical soups, salads, and appetizers at AYCE sushi places.
Initial service for drinks was prompt and ordering was straightforward using the paper menus and marking what we wanted. The miso soup was a little watered down but acceptable. Our first plate of rolls made it out in a reasonable amount of time but was missing two hand rolls that we ordered. We started working on what we received, which tasted as lovely as theavailable. The fish tasted very fresh and the proportions of fish to rice to other ingredients was good. We kept hoping for those hand rolls to show up, but they never arrived. The waitress also was hard to flag down so we weren't able to ask about them.
After finishing everything from the first round, we ordered 5 more rolls to finish out our meal, but were disappointed to yet again see that we were missing a roll. At this point we were running a bit late for our next engagement so we didn't press the issue.
When we were done, the waitress cleared our plates promptly (though we did not feel pressured to leave so they could turn over the table). During our meal, several other families and diners had filled up about 1/3 of the space.
Bathrooms were spacious and clean, though the door to the women's room was propped open the entire time we were there.
Overall a great AYCE sushi spot for lunch given the price!. I do wish they offered some sashimi or nigiri options for lunch, but the rolls they did have were delicious. It would've been nice to not have some of our orders left out or at least been notified if they were not available for some reason, instead of us wondering if they would ever come out. Definitely a spot to check out for the dinner menu as well, something we'll be sure to do the next time we're...
Read moreFood is sub par but the service is where this restraunt falls apart. I came here with a group of people and when we were ordering we were served inadequate numbers of food, if we ordered a plate of the tempura off of all you can eat we would be served 2 pieces, then ordered another plate and received one piece. This happened with multiple dishes no matter what they were, they cut corners and make portion sizes small. Eventually we asked a waiter about this and she responded with, why does portions size matter? You should eat what I give you and if you want more, order again. Asking for things from the staff is also a terrible experience, someone in my group asked for napkins and we had to ask a second time a few minutes later. Eventually he stood up and asked for napkins a few tries later, he had to walk to the front to get napkins NAPKINS. They also tossed insults at us in another language assuming I didn't understand (I did). This truly ruined the dining experience. I would think twice before coming here and wasting money for a dining experience that is truly terrible, will not be coming back.
EDIT : a few of my friends and I returned and received near identical treatment. Please...
