We're seated, I thought hostess seat and give u drinks or at least Heather our waitress should brought your customers water but no water, so I order what I wanted and so did my hubby. I ordered a rum punch and my hubby got a Pepsi, my drink the rum punch was pretty good Pepsi was good too my only problem is why did I have to find Heather for straws, the cook is behind some what of an open kitchen and I'm assuming he was up set tht I asked for my fish extra crispy I/we never go out, my hubby made eye contact with the cook and seen the cook basically threw the food on the corner, so two fish fry one with French fries and coleslaw not bad, my hubby got his fish fry regular just swapped the coleslaw for mac salad, let's talk about the mac salad, who puts two different onions and a purple one at tht, Heather laughed it off saying were not the only customers tht she has forgotten to give straws too some ppl just do not feel like drinking straight from cup, as a person who knows ppl in the restaurant industry, you as waitress wrk for your tips I k.so our bill was $44 something tipped 10 i/we Tip very good usually very good she probly would have been tipped $30-$40 maybe more who knows, I hope yall heard what I said yesterday we were in the corner with a camera on the ceiling so, my hubby only issue was tht cook basically threw our food on the corner while it sat and sat and sat in the window dying its fish it shouldn't sit. maybe I was wrong for asking for bread but like i said my hubby issue is with the cook I'm just explaining what happened , good food we both thought just so so service is all go if u want, o yea it was not busy my hubby got done with his trucking job and wanted to go this restaurant thought when we sat it was going to be like longhorn nice inside but no, we went before 5 pm hardly any one there it was before 4:30 when we left, this restaurant seemed nice before but I like i said there food was good, the waitress heather should know if the dinner came with bread or not but heather said I do not know let me check which is okay if she didn't know but maybe she was new there then I could see why but shes didnt look she was new if she was new then I'm wrong. No pics for the food. Also if your dining you should have a small Tatar sauce in the same type bowl you had the red dipping sauce in.i k next time you order two of the Tatar sauce it was not enough for the nice size...
Read moreMy husband and I met another couple here for dinner this past weekend. This dining experience was both delicious and terrible depending on individual menu items. The couple we dined with did not make any complaints about the food they ordered which included spaghetti and meatballs and chicken fajitas. I ordered an artisanal pizza and my husband ordered a fish fry. Buffalo style fried gnocchi was our shareable appetizer and it was both terrible and spot on. As a native Buffalonian, and former employee of a long standing pizza and wing establishment in Buffalo, I'm picky about wing dip and Mangia Mangia nailed it as far as that goes. It's too bad the gnocchi were awful, saturated in grease and not crispy at all. I'm not sure what the point of frying it is if all it does is absorb grease. Yuck, yuck, yuck. My pizza was amazing. Crispy crust, fresh toppings, good size for a personal style pizza and the leftovers were yummy. When they set the fish fry down in front of my husband the first thing he tried was the coleslaw and after that first bite he said it was flavorless and didn't touch it again. He said the fish was just okay. The fries? So, so good. I took the last few off his plate to try and they were the crispiest fries without being overly greasy. We all ordered dessert and each of us tried something different. No complaints on the carrot cake or chocolate cake. The cannolis my husband ordered were perfect. I wish I'd ordered them as well. The limoncello cake was disappointing. It was like eating a pre-packaged lemon snack cake you get in the grocery store by Little Debbie. A basket of fresh bread was provided with marinara sauce for dipping and butter as well. The bread was fresh and plenty was offered, but the sauce was awful because it was tasteless. The service wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. It took longer than we thought it should to clean up a drink spill, bring a refill for the spilled drink and serve our dessert. It was only moderately busy during our time there. Bottom line, my husband and I agree we...
Read moreI would've left 5 stars If it werent for the one terrible experience I had. I came here once and fell in love. I brought my family and even friends every sunday for breakfast. We usually requested Erika as a server and she was always great but one week we got another server. I ordered the special strip steak every week and was always cooked perfectly except this one time. It took over 30 minutes to come out which I was completely fine with. However when I cut into the steak it was purple on the inside (I ordered medium rare like always). When the server came she saw the steak and said oh wow that's way undercooked. She took the steak back and then minutes later they finally brought the same steak I had already cut into back and it was still a cool dark red center (rare). I ate a few bites of the outside because I was starving at this point and she came back and saw the steak again and said it was still rare, brought it back yet again. At that point the cook came out to my table and told me I was wrong and I didnt know how a med-rare steak looked (I was a grill cook for years at multiple restaurants). I didnt argue and politely told the server I was done attempting to get the steak right and she said "ok but i cant take it off your bill". I didnt even argue but she continued saying "too many people try and scam us by eating most of the steak and then complaining for a free one". At this point I was furious because over 80% of the steak was sitting on my plate still untouched and raw and I was told i needed to pay for it still because "other people scam them". What made it even worse is that the server revealed to us she was the owners wife and still refused to do anything about the bill. She eventually comped the toast and coffee from only my portion of the bill and i paid $18 for a raw steak i had to send back twice and didnt even eat. I'm still leaving 4 stars for the great experiences I had prior to this but I havent returned since this experience, and probably never will because...
