My brother and I stopped in for breakfast yesterday. We grew up in the area and were both home to plan my mom’s funeral. My mom who was always an enthusiastic of local business, introduced us to The Rail Trail. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and compassion for our loss by people who have knows us since childhood. We ate a delicious breakfast and the most gracious owners took care of our bill (my mom would have been mortified). The world needs more establishments like this-where the food is delicious and the commitment to community is even better. Thank you, ladies. Please support this female owned business!

Such a wonderful, quaint, comfortable gem . Located in the heart of Blauvelt, New York Lovely decor, delicious, food, all types of selections To satisfy all phenomenal, hot chocolate, coffee, and all types of caffeine delights. The place is spotlessly clean food. Cannot say enough because you get more than enough with your serving. Absolutely amazing. Looking forward to the next luncheon at this Absolutely wonderful establishment. Thanks again. All the best look forward to seeing you again.

We were looking for a good breakfast restaurant that served avocado toast in Rockland County and stumbled upon The Rail and Trail Cafe in Blauvelt. They did not disappoint. The avocado toast was exquisite, the service was welcoming and courteous and the setting was cozy and quaint. Additionally, the breakfast platter, consisting of maple sausage, eggs, cinnamon toast and fruit was outstanding and very reasonably priced. Adding a large cup of fresh hot coffee made for a perfect breakfast!

My wife and I didn’t have a good experience by any means. We were looking forward to trying this place, we called a day ahead and they said they post their menus online. We checked the day of and there were no menus. Waited till afternoon for them even. We called and they said sorry we didn’t get a chance to post them. Inquired about their options for wings and they couldn’t name all of the flavors over the phone so we couldn’t place the order over the phone because we didn’t know what to order. They said their open till 4 if we came down, we could get the list of flavors for wings and order. We came right away and as soon as we got there (10 mins after the phone call, and at 3:20pm, well before closing) we were told by one of the owners that they are not doing anymore take out orders. We explained that we just called and she looked at us with zero empathy or understanding and said oh well guess sorry must have been a misunderstanding. However ppl were seating to eat. While I understand nuances with opening a new restaurant, it’s been open long enough to have menus sorted out, and certainly no reason to have bad customer service. For a new restaurant it certainly the lack of care in this area was surprising. Disappointed overall, a big we don’t care, take your business elsewhere then first impression in a scenerio where we were guided the whole time by...

Cannot say enough positive things about this place! Visited for the first time on a Sunday in the late morning- short (15 min) wait for a table. So impressed with the diverse offerings on the menu- there is definitely something for everyone. Family ordered a breakfast sandwich (enormous!), fried chicken sandwich (chicken breast was so juicy and flavorful), and BLT (bacon had the perfect level of crispiness), and all were amazing! Tater tots were out-of-this-world crispy, fries were seasoned to perfection , and onion rings were tender with a crunchy outer coating (not greasy or overly battered). Food was prepared with care and attention to detail, and staff (friendly and attentive) checked back several times to make sure we were enjoying our meal and never made us feel rushed. Loved seeing the Shirley Temple on the menu- ordered one to feel like a kid again. Chef is extremely skilled at putting her unique spin on traditional favorites and taking them to the next level. Can't wait to return to try some of the items I saw other diners enjoying. Thanks to everyone for a fabulous...

Seriously, stop. This is the only place to eat. I’m currently a transported NYC lady and currently residing in NJ. I have been starving for the past year, since moving here. There is no food restaurant in the Rockland and Bergen county area that is worth a second visit. Until now! This chef has been blessed with superb culinary skills in all arenas. Presentation, quality of food, all kissed by the culinary gods. I am a foody snob. Self imposed, but everyone takes my word as gospel. Food comes out piping hot. From the coffees to the soups to breakfast and lunch menu beyond ecstasy. Even the children’s menu is to die for. Let’s discuss staff. Exceptional. They are attentive without being overbearing. Decor is sweet and inviting. Please do something about your front door. Icy cold when customers come in and they come in frequently because this is the place to eat and be seen. Go. Don’t hesitate. Tell them Dr....
