I’ll start with Ilrarely do I ever write reviews like this. But I need to share my experience.
Yea…. Honestly.. wasn’t impressed… maybe it was a bad night but ….
The bartenders were unbelievably unprofessional , looked like they were bartending in a in a club serving 20 year olds.. One of the girls sitting on the other side who I guess is also a bartender but it was her day off.. was all over her date licking his face (no exaggeration) very inappropriate. If you’re an employee there… I understand it’s your night off but… You still work there and you represent the establishment..
She kept going to behind the bar and acting a fool. She was DRUNK.
It seemed like everyone knew each other and it was a night out as 21year olds at a sloppy bar.
It seemed like our waitress was drained and ready to call it a night no energy. When she came back to take our order, I asked for an item on the specials but they out.. I completely understand that… but when I asked her if should could tell me the other dishes that were available.. it’s like it was such a chore for her and she made it known..
I was in the food hospitality business for quite some time.. the bar and waitress’ situation is not the way to go.. professionalism and patience is key in the business. Nights can be tough but at the end of the day, you’ve got to keep going or at least fake it lol
Specially if your customers are being so patient and polite. A customer should never be rude.
The food was so so.. The apps were amazing, we had lobster risotto that I could devour all night and the charcuterie board very delicious!
My husband had the cowboy steak, perfectly cooked!! SOOOOO DELICIOUS!!! But maybe don’t too it with that much balsamic onions but that’s just my personal preference.
Came with pomme frites and creamed spinach which we felt were an afterthought , they looked sad and the frites were over salty.
I had the Mediterranean branzino that was good the first few bites then it got very salty… Came with risotto and holy moly was it absolute mush and way too cheesy the string beans were sitting in a pool of butter.
The drinks… I was disappointed.. the pear martini was straight up vodka with a hint of pear.. my husband had an old fashion which was so so I thought but he liked it.
However, we would like to give this place another shot.
Oh and the hostess was a delight. Thumbs up for her...
Read moreLast night my wife and I went to Nova kitchen for the first time. It’s an older shopping complex, but Nova is definitely the crown jewel of the complex. We had a reservation and we were seated next to a very loud party of 8. It was so loud we couldn’t even hear our server or have a conversation. I asked our server if we can be moved and they accommodated. We ordered a lychee martini, an old fashion and a hot water. Took a little while to get our drinks, even our water. The lychee martini was perfect but the makers old fashion tasted and looked more like Makers on the rocks than an old fashion. Could have used some more simple syrup and bitters. For apps we ordered shrimp cocktail, oysters and the grilled octopus. The grilled octopus was really salty and had a really bad aftertaste, so we sent it back. The shrimp cocktail and oysters tasted good and pretty fresh. For our entree, we ordered the special “angry lobster” and the rack of lamb. My angry lobster was served with two jumbo shrimp over pasta. It was absolutely delicious. The rack of lamb was also good. The owner came over a few times and checked in on us, which was nice. She brought me over an extra old fashion which was nice of her, but it also just tasted more like a Makers on the rocks. We decided to skip dessert and asked for the check. I usually just give my credit card, but decided to look the check over and the octopus I sent back was on the check. I brought it up to my server and he corrected it, but no apology or anything of the sort. Overall, a fairly good experience not excellent. When you have a high end restaurant with high end prices in Rockland County, I just wish they paid a little more attention to detail. I still give them a very...

EXCELLENT experience! This is a new restaurant in the area, and they did not disappoint.
The atmosphere is modern yet welcoming. Tables with plenty of space in between so you dont feel crammed in. Definitely a finer dining experience, similar to what you might find in NYC without the astronomical cost, tight spaces or attitudes! Plenty of parking in the lot.
The cocktail menu had a variety of light and fresh drinks, the bar stocked with the gamut of alcohol brands and price ranges.
So many excellent (and healthier!) appetizer and dinner choices. Many grilled, with interesting sauces or chutneys. Portions were plentiful. You absolutely get your money's worth in portion size - but the real winner here is the taste!!!! Everything is freshly made, high quality from the vegetables to the meat. No shortcuts here.
Can we discuss dessert? If you do not try the chocolate chip croissant bread pudding you are missing out. It is creamy and light, just sweet enough, served with vanilla ice cream. Delish! And a perfect ending to a delicious, decadent meal.
Staff were very friendly and welcoming, had great suggestions on dishes and drinks and were very attentive. The owner greeted guests, stopped to speak with regular guests and made the entire experience so awesome.
Reservations are recommended, it was very busy - and I can see why! I cannot wait to go back and try...
