5 Stars for this new restaurant in Blauvelt, NY. Four of us stopped in for dinner. We were greeted by friendly, welcoming, beautiful people both inside and out! We shared 4 appetizers, 3 entrees and 3 desserts with coffee. ALL of our food was outstanding! French Onion soup, Lobster Bisque with lots of lobster tail chunks, Fire-Roasted meatballs, and Bao Buns filled with shrimp tempura, Jicama-Asian pear slaw and cilantro-lime aioli - EXCELLENT. We had "Surf & Turf" short rib ravioli (to be fair to The Dining Room, I ate some of the lobster pieces prior to taking the picture). We also had Gnocchi Sorrentina and a 12-ounce Kobe Strip Steak. This was the first time we had Kobe steak and it was fantastic! All seafood is fresh, pasta is made fresh, and all other dishes are prepared in-house and made from scratch. The chocolate cheesecake topped with ganache, the sticky toffee pudding with vanilla gelato and the egg nog creme brulee were exquisite desserts! Again, all desserts we are told are made fresh in house. The chefs even came out to visit us and asked if we were happy with the taste of our meals. They were awesome. All of this, with prices that are very, very reasonable for casual fine dining! Good luck to the owner of this new restaurant and its...
Read moreThis food is absolutely delicious. The pappardele pasta with braised lamb ragu is unique and has amazing flavors of morrocan spices. It was my favorite dish. We also had the filet mignon ravioli which had rich, deep flavors. It’s special (would highly recommend sharing this as it is extremely rich, but totally worth it). The beet salad came with delicious shavings of fennel. The snapper was also great with a crispy crust and flavorful coconut rice. And the panettone bread pudding and sticky toffee desserts were also fantastic. Very impressive meal and menu. Congratulations to the chef!
Update: came back for brunch and was really wowed again. I got to try a lot since we were in a big group and everything was exceptional. There was an amazing house made a beet cured gravlox, crab cakes benedict, blueberry lemon ricotta pancakes, and a 50 layer lasagna which was out of this world. We didn't need desert, but it was a friend's birthday and they brought out the lightest, fluffiest cheesecake. Delicious. Totally worth the...
Read moreMy experience at The Dining Room was nothing short of fantastic. From the warm and attentive staff to the fresh, delightful dishes, it was a memorable visit. Accompanied by a friend, we indulged in a variety of appetizers, including the crisp and flavorful B.L.T. wedge, delectable crispy duck wings, and the standout Bao buns with mango shrimp. The bao buns, notably fresh and authentically soft, perfectly balanced the succulent shrimp and mango flavors.
For the main course, I opted for the short ribs ravioli—a true highlight. The ravioli burst with juicy, tender short rib filling, showcasing exceptional quality and taste. What stood out most was the commitment to freshness in every dish; even the crispiness of the dishes was perfectly tailored to their respective flavors.
The Dining Room not only impressed with its excellent food but also with its inviting ambiance and attentive service. I'm already planning my return, hoping this gem continues to shine brightly in the...
