I recently visited Al Kababi | Gyro Hut & Grill after trying their catered food at a wedding, where their BBQ mix really stood out. That experience prompted me to make the trip over—about 20+ miles—and overall, I'd say it was a good visit, with room to grow.
The Gola Kebab was excellent—flavorful, tender, and cooked just right. I also tried the Nihari, which was good, not great, but definitely hits the spot if you’re craving Nihari on short notice.
From what I understand, this is a relatively new restaurant and likely still in the growth phase, so I want to offer feedback with that in mind. One key area of improvement is order organization. While we were waiting, the person at the front was juggling multiple customers at once, which led to some confusion and delayed service.
There also seems to be a lack of clarity in how orders are taken and confirmed. For example, we ordered a Gola Kebab roll but ended up receiving the entrée version instead. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but after traveling a fair distance, we were hoping for a smoother experience.
Despite these hiccups, I’m rooting for this place. The flavors are promising, and there’s definitely potential here. I’d give it a solid 3.5 to 4 stars, and I hope the team takes this feedback to fine-tune operations and deliver an even better experience...
Read moreAl Kababi is hands down one of the best spots for authentic Pakistani food. The moment you walk in, you’re hit with these amazing aromas that just get you excited for what’s coming. The fact that it’s Zabiha makes it even better, knowing everything is halal and carefully sourced. The food? Incredible. We started with the beef Bihari, and they were so juicy and packed with flavor—just the right amount of spice and served with this fresh mint chutney that tied everything together. The biryani, which was perfection. The rice was fragrant, and the meat was super tender, with all those spices working in harmony. The real star, though, was their Amazing Nihari. It tasted homemade, like something you’d get at a family gathering. The spices were bold but balanced, and the meat was cooked to perfection. You could tell they put real love into this dish. And let’s not forget the naan—soft, warm, and just the right texture to scoop up all the delicious flavors. The staff was so friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. If you’re craving real Pakistani food, Al Kababi should be at the top of your list. As it is my first time being here, I was blown away by all these delicious flavors. This definitely won’t be my last time. Highly...
Read moreWent to Al Kababi a few days ago and just had a horrible experience, the food and naan were not hot and seemed like it was reheated in the microwave- we also ordered a chicken gyro wrap which did not have any chicken in just vegetables, and when we confronted her about it- it seems like she was trying to get away with it from the beginning- she then made a new one and there was no veggies in there- it seemed like it was too complicatedcated for them to make a gyro wrap. they also asked for a 25-30% tip however don’t give free water, don’t come to your table to take your order, and give you paper plates and plastic forks and spoon- what am i paying tip for? The grilled items were okay nothing special. Would not go here again, especially when they try to cheap out on things. I love to support small business but when they try to cheat you instead of being gracious it doesn’t sit well. I will not be going back there again so many other...
