Been eating there for since it opened great food good service. Owner has a attitude. Called about a mistake on a order after it happened 5 times and did not call. This time i called. He offered to remake the meal but it was too late to go back and get it. I told him thank you but just want him to be more on top of the orders and speak to his kitchen staff. Instead of just apologizing and telling me he will do better he argued with me over the fact that i wanted my hero bread on the side and not with the food in it. I tried to explain that i come from 20 min away for the food and it would be a soggy mess if i dont do it this way. None the less it was irrelevant since i was calling about the wrong cheese not my bread as the bread was in the side. Mind you he has made this for me over 100 times with no issue other then the wrong cheese a few times witch happened to be the issue this time as well. I have ordered the same things for years. Then told me he would never make that order for me again and hung up. This is no way to treat your loyal customers who spend $100 + a week there and constantly recommend the food. I have not been back since. It is sad as this was my favorite place to eat. I guess he never heard the expression "the customer is always right even when wrong". But in this case i was right i was not asking for money, credit or anything other then a apology and to speak...
Read moreI’ve been ordering from here for years, since it’s one of the few places on LI that has a large vegan menu, but recently the quality has gone extremely downhill. I typically order takeout, and there’s usually something wrong with my order in some way. I’ve ordered extra sauce for a sandwich and received none, I’ve ordered an appetizer trio and gotten 2 mozzarella sticks and again, no marinara. Recently, the seitan parm hero I ordered was dry and rubbery and the coating had fallen half off. The issues aren’t only with the vegan menu. A family member ordered spaghetti and meatballs and after a bite, they realized the meat was spoiled. They wouldn’t even offer us a refund or a free meal, they only replaced it, which at that point they didn’t want it. The service for takeout is also horrible. There’s been times where the phone goes unanswered, I’ve had the person taking my order hang up on me mid order, and if you ask them what desserts they have, it’s a tremendous inconvenience for them to read you a menu that’s in front of the cash wrap. Your response shouldn’t be “you can just see the menu and order when you’re here.” Honestly, it’s not worth giving a place a chance when it’s a surprise that your order is correct and tastes good. Either step it up and keep it consistent, or just don’t bother. The desserts are the only good thing to order, because they’re outsourced from a...
Read moreThey still serve daiya cheese which always makes me question a restaurants knowledge of good vegan cooking. They now have something called mooliss for their mozzarella and it was okay. Melted nice.
The Buffalo vegan slice didn't have very much flavor, but it wasn't bad.. just not really good. It was 6/10 stars.
The mooliss Sicilian was fluffy, and decent. Wasn't bad but had a slight dishwater flavor. I don't know how to describe it. Way better than their daiya slices I had tried a while ago.
In my opinion the pizza was pretty overpriced, not many options and not good enough for a $7 slice.
The garlic knots were good, but the marinara tasted like a canned sauce.
I'd try other things from them, maybe just not the pizza again. Not worth it.
The service was okay also, the men that worked there today were polite.
I'd suggest reading reviews from lowest to highest before trying, very informative. I just read they cook meat in the same oil as the vegan things?? I hope not. Was going to try brunch but might skip after...
