Farmingdale Diner — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

Went in today to give the last try and it’s terrible! It’s father’s day, I understand. Asked the front desk girl how long was the wait, she smiled and walked away. Had to ask someone else. Waited 20 min asking to at least bring a coffee. Front girl again told me that she will let the waitress know. Meanwhile just walking around with a menu. Waited another 10 min asking to order. She said “ I told them already”. Okay what’s the point of you being there? Bring us water or at least coffee after 30 min. I hate how this diner turned out with new management. Front person completely does not care about the customers and the way things are going, owner does not either. We were there when place was really busy, Steve would sit us, bring coffee and water while we waiting to order. Now I walk in there and everyone looks angry and overworked. Had to wait 30 min for coffee. So we just walked out. I will never return to this place ever again; moreover, I will spread the word out. Below is my previous review from 4 months ago

This used to be my favorite place. My family and I used to go there at least 2 week. Since the management changed, I see the quality of food changed as well. They used to have the best homemade mozzarella sticks. Now the new owner buying the frozen one. they also changed the quality of turkey, so turkey club does not taste the same. Most of the staff stayed and still performing at their best. New owner, if you are reading this review and want regular customers to keep coming in, put the quality of food back on to the plates. I will give another benefit of a doubt for a little, but if this going to continue I will go to the dinner that is closer...

🛜🇺🇸🦃 I was looking for a place to have a Turkey dinner. I cook all the time not wanna feel cook today. I call one place they did not have Turkey. I went out anyway. I found Farmingdale dinner turn around. Found parking in the back. Went inside. I try to order a turkey dinner. I look the next table plate. Pick the same. My dinner plate have slices bread under the turkey meet with lot of turkey sauce. The Bread was wet with the turkey sauce. In my experience with dinner never seen bread wet with anything as this dinner. Always it’s in the side, dry and toasted with butter. I saw another waitress and I call her then: her attitude begging to escalate with me. “This behavior should not been tolerated from the staff( waitress ) to any customer inside or outside”. “Smiles 🙂 and not keep replying near it. Tells the correct waitress or Boss about any issues with a customers at Farmingdale dinner.. ( Happy Customers always come back.) My assignees waitress at the time of services don’t have to do nothing with the attitude of another co-worker. She was very polite and respectful. Her tips was $8.60. Sell $31.40. Total. $40.00 Dollars. The Review it’s to make this Business continue been open and Successful; giving a better atmosphere or understanding. There’s nothing personal against any dinner staff’s. As I explained in the way out today. Happy thanksgiving...

.cheap and large portions there nice good service. so why 2 stars... i wanted a cruspy chicken, anything, or a philly cheesy steak. ok, all chicken is grilled. i asked why, and she didn't know. so after a weird look if they had crispy deep dried chicken brests aaaand no theu pan fry here and deep fry potato only wth so none absolutely no fryed food unless its kindergarden simple. so i saw a philly panini, then a philly wrap so i asked her, i wanted a regular philly (cheesesteak) the waitress said we dont have heros. so i picked the picture of the panini with sliced nice sour dough bread with no crust and that crispy look. guess what i got ... a philly cheese steak on a dam hero that got squished by the panini press. no butter, no crunch, no nothing, it looked like a hero sandwich that was sat on. if ur old and complacent that has to watch what u eat, this is ur place. there's a reason that there is no wait to eat at 630pm on a Saturday night total garbage food even for a diner. go to embassey down the road a mile west... did i mention they had a grilled chicken section on the menu yet all the chicken on the regular sandwich menu only contained grilled chicken. who the hell came up with this menu. the wendeys next door has the real chicken sandwich, and the food tases better than the diner now...
