Alex Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

I was excited to find out they were open when i stopped by. However, after waiting inside for 10 mins for a salad i witnessed the cashier not only handle money with no gloves but the same employee touching the food that he was serving customers bare handed! I spoke to the manager discreetly and said “just a comment as a customer, i was a little uncomfortable with situation and said if i was ordering anything upfront i would have canceled my order” he said “THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT DOES NOT CARE IF WE HANDLE MONEY AND TOUCH FOOD AT THE SAME TIME” with such a dismissive response i walked away back to my seat and waited for the salad and threw it out when i got home. As a paying customer i was just expressing a concern of mine in a positive manner but i felt as if what i said or how i felt about the situation just didn’t matter. I will no longer be shopping here and i will gladly show concern with others that i know that shop here! Side note, when i asked if the owner ever came into the store (so i could address the situation with him/her, it was as if they didn’t wanna answer that simple question )...

My wife and I love Alex Pizza!! They have absolutely delicious food and the pricing is VERY fair and pretty much at todays standard for a local pizza parlor. We stop by pretty often and never had a bad experience. The owner and his young son are very hard working guys and they both are super friendly! The location is clean and the décor is what a typical take out pizzeria is with a few tables to eat and run. There is plenty of parking as they are located in a strip shopping center at northwest corner Old Country Rd. and Newbridge Rd. (rte. 106 southbound).

Their Old Fashion pizza is a favorite of ours and their pizza sauce is great! They also have a terrific variety of calzones, specialty pizza, sandwiches and much more! Not sure why there are unfavorable reviews for them because I would recommend this place anytime! Absolutely worth giving...

Just moved to the area

I haven't had good pizza over here yet until i came here. AMAZING sauce, cheese and crust. So cheesy and felt like home. I am so glad they do not put breadcrumbs at the bottom of their pie; what i see in this area .. reminds me of Chucky Cheese cheap stuff.

However - Chicken Roll & Garlic nots were pretty bad. IDK what happened but the garlic nots had red pepper flakes on them so that set the meal spicy for me the kids (which we don't like spice and wouldn't think to ask if anything is spicy) and the Chk roll was missing mozzarella (enough for the entire chicken roll not just the middle of it) and fresh chicken. Thee chk was chewy inside & the sauce was not the same as the pizza.

But pizza .. slamming i will def be getting...
