Definitely a place worth trying. Don't expect a NY slice or deep dish pizza here. Classic Neapolitan style pizza where you can taste the quality ingredients and the love that is put into the making of it.
I wish we had more time and an appetite. We went in expecting a light snack before dinner (were weren't hungry) but we ended up ordering another pie after the first one. I would say these are personal size pies, so with friends and family, order a few different ones so you can have an assortment to try.
We will definitely be back and will have photos ready. We just ate the pizza without taking time to photograph them due to the delicious sight and smell.
The wine and beer selection is not extensive but it doesn't need to be. A nice and simple menu composed of nice wines and beers that compliment the pizza.
The people running the place are great! Always checking up on customers and making sure everyone is having a good time.
Second visit,
Back for a second time and it was even better than the first. I tried a few different wines and they all were great. Meatballs, clam pie, margherita pie with sausage and pepperoni, lemon ravioli (forgot to take a photo of it), and the three flavors of gelato (strawberry, chocolate, and mascarpone.)
Definitely will return. The food and service...
Read moreFor years, Long Island has lived in the culinary shadow of New York City's vibrant food scene, particularly when it comes to pizza and Italian cuisine. Despite our proximity to one of the world's greatest Italian food meccas, finding exceptional pizza on the Island has been surprisingly challenging. What sets Anna apart isn't just its pizza – it's the restaurant's confident authenticity that feels both fresh and familiar. While many establishments try too hard to capture Brooklyn's hipster essence, Anna strikes a perfect balance: crisp, clean aesthetics that distinguish it from typical Long Island eateries without feeling pretentious. It's as if someone transplanted a cherished neighborhood gem from Brooklyn's heart, but allowed it to develop its own suburban soul. On a recent visit we had - Caesar Salad, Burrata Maldon Flatbread, Meatballs, Sausage Pizza, Clam Pizza and Chocolate Buldoni. I’d recommend each and everyone of them. The wine list deserves special mention, offering a refreshing departure from Long Island's usual suspects. Don't skip the Sparkling Rosé Lambrusco, thinking it'll be the sweet variety you might know. This is a dry, crisp iteration that pairs perfectly with their pies. Run, don’t walk. Anna...
Read moreHad the pleasure of eating at Anna on their opening night and it definitely did not disappoint! The restaurant itself is beautiful and has the coziest and most welcoming vibe. The owners were so kind and friendly, they took the time to introduce themselves and welcome us in. The food was absolutely delicious. The menu is perfect, very ingredient focused. Everything was so unbelievably fresh. We got the meatballs to start which were so soft and the sauce was perfectly cooked. For our other starter we got the broccolini which is not something you see on a menu often but they perfected it. Then for our pies we got the soppressata pie, maitake shiitake pie and the clam pie. The clams were so fresh and flavorful. I had never tried maitake mushrooms before but they were delicious and such a great switch up from just regular mushrooms. They also had tons of different sides you can add to your pizza which we loved, especially the pickled long hots and chili oil, they added the perfect kick. I couldn’t think of one thing I would change. I have no doubts that between the food, the service and the atmosphere that Anna will be not only my new regular spot, but a staple for the...
