HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I thought I had ordered my mini fridge from my local Garden City BJs online, but to my horror it was from the Westbury store. I left that store crying today. The customer service rep Martha #304911 treated me like a thief! I picked up the fridge from the pick up area and without leaving the store, went to the customer service area for a return and re-purchase the same item on a different card. It turned into one big problem as she kept asking me over and over if I had taken the fridge out the store. I kept telling her that I had just picked it up and never left with it despite her looking at my receipt. I had to eventually go back to the pick up area and ask the rep to tell Martha that I just picked up the purchase less than 10 minutes before. By this time, I was crying. At first, he said I had to wait, but he called out on the walkie talkie that I had just pick it up after seeing that I was crying. To make matters worst, I asked for the manager which turned out to be the same pick up rep Robert. He looked me straight in the eye and told me he was too busy to talk to me. He even saw me by my car and did not assist me with getting the fridge into my vehicle. Luckily, Viviana R saw me struggling to get the box out the cart and assisted me. THANKS VIVIANA R....you were a blessing to me today. After waiting 45 minutes, Robert NEVER made the time to talk to me even after I reminded him that I was waiting on him. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a brief membership with BJ's that lasted less than a week. I saw an item that was listed on clearance sale, I did a trial membership to try to purchase it. When I would get to the cart, it charge me the full price. I tried calling customer care, they were closed. I called again the next day, and was told that if I pay the membership fee I would get the listed price. I buy the membership fee and still get the same price. I call again the next day, tell them my issue, they say they understand, and tell will get back to me that same day. No response. I call back again to ask for a response, I am told that there is a delay. I get an email that day saying that I only called them on April 15th and the sale ended April 14th (there was no indication of this ever, the site claimed the sale ended in May). Anyhow, I give them proof that I called them April 13th and April 14th, no response. I call them back again, and the customer care representative now states that the sale was only ever for pickup and there are no locations close to me that have the item available. I spoke to multiple representatives at that point both via phone and email, and they never said anything about pickup. It is so clear that they are lying to me at every turn, and my brief experience on the website has things (other than the item I wanted) changing price randomly. Ā Ā Ā Read moreUPDATE 2/23. Spoke with the manager at length. She was going to leave a gift card at customer service for me. I knew that it was falling on deaf ears, but hey, I was getting my refund. Arrived yesterday for my gift card. The club was open 5 minutes. Went to customer service, she had no clue what I was talking about. Was actually looking for the products I was returning. Several overhead calls to Jessica. Finally a response. She too was clueless. Never came to the CS desk. 40 minutes later, I left with a gift card. YET AGAIN, THIS IS WHY THERE IS A PROBLEM IN THE CLUB! The problem begins at the top and just trickles down. Poor refrigeration. Products bad when sold. Using COVID as an excuse they will not accept refunds. This is the 2nd time during COVID that I have bought products that were useless. Manager and customer service personnel are rude, ineffective and act as if they are doing you a favor to allow you to occupy their space. Aside from the gas station being convenient and reasonably priced, there is nothing good to say about this location. I know shop elsewhere and go there to fill my gas tank.
