DiMaggio's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

If you are in the Hicksville area this is a must stop for a great old school slice with a flair. Located in a unassuming shopping strip mall, this Pizzeria has it all. Once you walk through the doors you will see why this is a LI local Favorite. You will Start humming your favorite Billy Joel song because after all this was his favorite spot as a kid.

On to the pizza…number one it’s always fresh you will never find pies laying around like other spots because the traffic is heavy and the turnover is fast. I had a Buffalo slice and as I said it had a twist…Sesame Seeds on the crust what a great surprise. It reminded me of so many great spots from my childhood in Brooklyn.

I finished up with a “Sal’s Sensational Italian Ice” incredible, I have not had an ice so good since Court Pastry Shop on Court Street in Brooklyn that has been doing it for 75 years…Sal and team have outdone themselves with Ices.

This should be a destination spot for ices. Ralphs is like eating a cheeseburger compared to a steak you will get with Sal.

Don’t hesitate call, drive, ride your bike or run…but whatever you do don’t miss out on a Sal’s Sensational Ice...

What an awesome place! My company was playing a charity soccer event for the Michael Magro Foundation at Kevin Kolm Field. Our players were hungry so I called local pizza places to see if they would deliver to us at the field. I knew this would not be easy. Not to mention it was pouring rain so hard all day. Two places turned us down and were very rude as well. We called DiMaggio’s, which was the farthest place from the field and they were courteous and kind! They were able to bring us 5 fresh and delicious pies right to the field in no time at all and even carried it to our tent in the heavy rain! All the pies were delicious and cooked perfectly! Terrible place…sent us two old and wet on the bottom large pies. Called next day and guy pretending to be a manager, offered me something for the mistake. Called again to give them another try and the owner refused to honor the exact words of his so called manager. Then explained to me that it was his driver who I was talking to.
