My feelings on this HORRIBLY BAD Club of LIARS: NO!!! Meals are Rather AWFUL; &, HUGE WASTES of money!!; &, are: always a, BAD one!! These days UBER: hi-inflation; &, VERY -BAD economy make eating here an -EXTREMELY: FOOLISH; SAD; &, BRUTAL TORTURE, ending in --BITTER RESULTS!! I'm VERY Turned OFF after already giving them 5 eating chances so far; &, I wish they'd been better!! I --HATED ALWAYS returning to the SAME misery; &, grief! Why their joint is ALWAYS a ROTTEN SCREWED UP MESS: BAD OWNERS!! 1.: Way too cold water w/: way too much ice in carafe; &, EXCESS milk/dairy products used in food items; Etc.; all combined causing: Very LONG; BAD stomach ache!!; &, BAD DIARRHEA!!! 2.: WAIT-STAFF has a slow; RUDE; Cold; Dismissive; Demanding; Im-Patient; Loud; Rush-U; Ignoring; Un-Concerned w/: u; PUSHY; Enraged; In-Different; Un-Caring; Dis-Honest: manner; &, vibe. The Chef, Cook, Owner; &, his Head-Waitress, Co-Owner-Wife are: ALWAYS ANNOYED, BITTER; in EXACTLY all the same ways as their staff are! 3.: Folks who arrive after me are ALWAYS served before me! 4.: Menu designed for ALL BIG bill checks; &, all of its items, come w/: very few inclusions; there are MANY extras; &, OVER-charges; &, there are: NO: switches; combinations; changes; ETC.! 5.: Menu items are: Significantly: Overpriced; &, the check is always TOO HIGH!! 6.: Kitchen -ALWAYS SLOW, even when NO customers there; &: there's no biz, for GOOD reasons: this is a Very BAD place; &, they deserve: NONE! Much time wasted, waiting for NOTHING AT ALL; &, they make me very late for many imprtnt. appts.! 7.: They, -NEVER ask me: how to cook my meat order!!; it's, ALWAYS brought after: waiting TOO Long for it; &: it's: Way too Raw!!; &, then, even worse the ARROGANT waitress LIES BIG-TIME about: the reason: it was TOO RARE!!; by saying: "it's because the meat is mixed w/: red peppers"!! There's NO point sending it back; "for a few more mins."/IT'S NEVER COMING!; &, that overly expensive junk is NEVER taken off my bill, either!. 8.: If u ask even ONE question; take 1 second too long in -their opinions, in ordering; or: change even, 1, tiny, thing, u'll get: a, fight!; insulted!; yelled at!; denied service!; told to NEVER come back!; or, ur order takes FOREVER to be delivered!. 9.: They RUSH me, to get myself seated; HURRY me to order; &, mostly ignore me. There are: NO charging outlets for phones; &, batteries; &, the hand-sanitizer dispenser, in front; is ALWAYS broken!; ETC. 10.: Items on my table, that were un-needed; &, should've been removed, were -ignored; &, left there; i.e.: dirty plates; un-needed utensils! NO: extra napkins were available!; salt; small cups; little containers for table scrap garbage; NO: room temp.; nor, lightly chilled; fresh; clean water; regular tea; normal size spoons; &, u Can-Not escape the Horrible; &: Excess mirrors!!; that STARE at u: EVERY D*MN where; All Over this place; &, MUST be removed!! Kids RAN; SCREAMED; &, YELLED all over; up; &, down, as if it's a playground! Messy ceiling tiles NEED replacement; &, whole Tiny place, is a VERY cramped; &, anxiety-filled; tension-creating; boxed-in, claustrophobic, overly "crowded-in"; Up-Tite: SQUEEZE; of: ODDLY SHAPED; COLD, InSincere; STERILE; UN-WELCOMING; UN-PLEASANT; InFlexible; Harsh; Dis-Tasteful; Irritating; Dis-Comfort!!; &, it's: Winter-Cold; &: Summer-Hot; &: Stuffy, inside! 11.: The portions are: -TINY; the Manti-Turkish mini beef-filled dumplings were HUGELY DROWNED in: HEAVY yogurt sauce; &, it also contained: Un-Wanted: ground-up; grated, AWFUL mint flavoring, on: the, yogurt sauce!; the mini-salad on my Adana kebab was DROWNED in: SADLY: Non-optional; &, Non-Removable: BIG; odor/taste leaking, 100% mixed in, HORRID: onions; which are: Totally NOT WANTED!!. 12.: I'm always LIED TO, that: the Turkish tea is "just not ready, &, that I must only wait for it"; BUT, IT NEVER IS!!. 13.: It's also VERY LIKELY they spit in: faces; foods; &, drinks; too!!.

I do not live in Massapequa but have eaten here each time we have visited family in the area. This is definitely a nook in the area that is a hidden gem and known to individuals who enjoy Mediterranean cuisine. It is small, shaped in an L and the entrance is to the right of the nook which is right near an intersection and not much of a view. The atmosphere is warm, casual and inviting. It is a BYOB. Option to eat in the sunny front or intimate back. Lighting and music is just right. Carafe of water is brought to the table immediately and an olive tapenade with warm bread is offered. The lentil soup is amazing....warm, creamy and flavorful. Love that the entire squid is offered for the calamari appetizer and the yogurt condiment actually works. Was not a fan of the hummus. Also not a fan of bell peppers in my food but the lamb saute was a pleasant surprise with the offered yellow rice. Great for quick bite, vegetarian options and kid menu. Delivery and take out available. Price point meets fare offered. Ended my meal with trying the custard baklava which is baklava with custard in the middle of the flaky layers with no nuts...so light, creamy and a wonderful way to end the meal. One star not given as each time I have eaten here....unable to try the gyro as it is only available later in the afternoon and evening and I have been there during lunch. Small and simple restaurant. The food was authentic and delicious. We were party of 14 and more than half vegetarian. Everybody enjoyed all veg/non-veg dishes. Service was fast. Waitress was very patient. Will definitely go back again. However, there was minor issue which we noticed from a man behind the counter (not sure if he was manager or owner) but he was making heated face and was not happy for us being there for more than 2 hours. Truly speaking, we gave them $400+ business and ordered one dish at least every 10 mins. So, they weren’t losing any business because of us! The restaurant wasn’t extremely busy that, he had a reason of being upset! Frankly, it always takes longer when you have a big group. We made reservation 4 days in advance.
