Went to dinner here on a Friday night. Wish I had the option to give this restaurant 6 stars instead of 5! Italian food is my #1 favorite food, and after my very first visit, Bacaro Italian Tavern has jumped near the top of my list. The staff was amazing! The waitstaff were friendly, efficient, and thorough. The place was pretty packed, but it didn't feel like it because the service was so fast, and everything seemed effortless. As soon as you finished with a plate, the waitstaff were there to ask if you wanted anything wrapped up or if you wanted anything to be taken away. They were not obtrusive at all, and managed to prepare tables around us with such an eloquence that as 1 family got up, another family's table was ready almost instantaneously, and it was impeccably clean. Next to no wait time on a Friday night...utterly impressive. The food was so appetizing. The portions were so huge and tasty, and I took home at least 2 days of leftovers. The calamari was the best I've ever tasted from any restaurant I've ever been to. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, which was delicious. Unfortunately, I wanted to try 1 of the items from the special menu (Bacon wrapped shrimp skewers over Caesar salad), but the waitress informed me that they had sold out of that meal option 30 minutes earlier. After tasting so many other delicious items from Bacaro's menu, I am sure that that particular item must be extremely appetizing. I can't wait to go back again, and I hope when I do return, that item won't be sold out because it sounds so appetizing. I hope this item appears on the menu frequently so that I don't miss out again. Also, I wanted to try their dessert (which I didn't have room for). On my next visit, I plan to order the bacon wrapped shrimp skewers (fingers crossed) and to TRY to save room for dessert (or...
Read moreThe food was amazing. Everything came out fresh and Hot from the kitchen. We didn’t have to wait long for our food to get served. We were there this past Father’s Day, it was myself and my aunt. Neither one of us have dads so we decided to go to a restaurant that wasn’t doing a special brunch or dinner for fathers. Our reservation was at 1:30 PM. We arrived on time and were the only people in the restaurant. Our reservation was at 1:30 PM. We arrived on time and we’re the only people in the restaurant. They sat us At a table by a window. Naturally, since there was no one in the restaurant, we took our time ordering starting with drinks continuing to appetizers, and then finally our main courses. As I said, everything was delicious. While we were eating our main course, the restaurant staff came up to our table, at least 15 times to ask us if we were done eating. We finally had to tell them that we will let you know when we are finished. By the time we finished eating our main dish it was around 3:15 PM. We asked to see a dessert menu and each of us ordered another drink. When the waiter brought the menu, he said to us listen we have someone coming here for this table at 5:30 PM and we have to turn it over. You guys are gonna have to rush through your dessert. Now as I said it was 3:15 PM and I don’t know anyone in the world that would take two hours and 15 minutes to eat a piece of cake. But that isn’t really the point. What he could’ve done was said listen we have someone coming here soon. Would you mind moving to the bar, of which there was two people sitting at and room for about 20 more. The restaurant was great, but the weight staff was really annoying, and our waiter was...
Read moreWe reserved the entire restaurant for our daughter’s bridal shower recently. We had around 60 people. Prior to the event, we drew the layout of how we wanted the room to be set. The day of the shower, the layout was not what we agreed on. With resistance, they finally re-arranged the room. One particular waitress was very rude to our party. Throughout the event, she looked like she did not want to be there. She argued when we asked why they are not serving the mimosa and champaign punch. She tossed a fork at my friend instead of handing it to her. She was annoyed when I switched seats with my friend who sat next to me because I messed up her meal orders (her exact words). I called the next day and spoke with Anthony, the manager, to address the waitress bad attitude at the shower. He was unapologetic for her behavior; instead, to justify her actions, he listed the accommodations they gave us which were not accommodations if they did their job correctly in the first place and he specifically said they used up six bottles of champaign even though our contract stated mimosa and champaign punch are included in the package. He then said, “you are beating a dead horse”. He is right about “beating a dead horse” because wasting time and energy with an establishment that doesn’t care about their customers is pointless. Needless to say, I won’t be going back to Bacaro nor will I recommend...
