This review is for Halal N Spice. The previous store name was Tasty Halal Bites. Halal N Spice is new management. I've come here twice before, but they just opened and the food was okay at the time, so I didn't write about it. This is my third time here and I will say it has improved a bit. I ordered a mix (chicken and lamb/beef) over rice platter. The food was fresh off the grill. The service was good, but I think it could use some work. I noticed it was a bit cluttered and disorganized in the front where the toppings are. The owner was accomodating thought and kept asking what my preferences were for sauces, which was great communication. Unfortunately, hot sauce is not available yet, but white sauce and green sauce (creamy cilantro mint). The white sauce was good, but it sort of tasted more yoghurt like to me. It was good none the less. The rice was much better than the last two times. This time it had more flavor. Almost biryani like in flavor profile I'd say. You should give it a shot even if you are used to the Afghani style rice at most halal grill spots. The chicken and lamb/beef mix was pretty good too and the combination with the rice made it even better. The salad was refreshing. It had lettuce, tomatoe, cucumbers, and onions. I hope to come back again when they finally get a hold on things. I do recommend giving it a shot though for the price point $10 and amount of food.

Hearing a restaurant offered their own take on the Crazy Kabab Roll sweeping LI was enough to order from Tasty Halal Bites shortly after their opening. The standout item was the Zinger Burger ($7) which featured a thick, freshly-cooked piece of breast with a spicious breading seemingly made from chickpea flour. In sharp contrast to the Zinger was the Double Cheeseburger ($8), which had a good Desi-flavor profile but was overcooked, likely frozen and offered very little meat. Though visually similar to the original it's based on, the Naan Kabob Roll with Cheese ($7) had gooey cheese and a perfectly-cooked seekh kabab that made it a great munch for all though it didn't quite justify the price. With the fast delivery and general tastiness, we found Tasty Halal Bites to be another mid-range eatery we can safely add to our list.

I came here for lunch. I ordered the mix over rice (lamb and chicken) that came up to less than $10. An addition of 6 will increase the price to over $10. The food was a good serving and pretty good. You can ask to put the sauce on the side or on the dish. The server was generous with the sauce. There is one seating area/table available indoors. The store is located across from a gas station.

This is a new joint that just opened up near me and I decided to go and check it out for myself being a huge fan of halal,

They didn’t have what I usually get which is the combo over rice, they only had the chicken which wasn’t too big of deal, they luckily they had tomatoes, lettuce and onions as well as a couple over other options i like with my platter,

The taste of the meal was nothing like I’ve had before , it had a really strong smell that I believe resembled something like curry, and it had a very organic chicken texture, almost like something you could get from a chicken breast, most chicken I get from halal carts are a lot more soft and not as textured as the stuff i had from Ali baba.

The veggies were so fresh, I’ve never had fresher tomatoes or lettuce at any other halal place before, they look for quality and they are very true to there word,

The white sauce did not have a distinct flavor, the white was almost an amplifier to the flavor of the chicken and rice, which was totally fine because the chicken as well as the rice both had great flavor.

The rice had hard texture to them, not as cooked as I expected, which didn’t bother me what’s so ever and was a great addition to the chicken and vegetables

Overall this was a great meal, for a price of $10 you get a. Very good meal with a great serving size, if you aren’t into halal,I feel like this is the place for you to try because of he high quality of all the food groups. I would definitely recommend this place to a lot of people and...

I must preface this review by saying that I generally avoid writing negative feedback, but in this case, it's necessary for the improvement of the establishment. My recent experience with Halal N Spice left much to be desired, and unfortunately, it's not the first time I've encountered such issues.

Upon calling to place an order, I was informed it would be ready in 30 minutes. Knowing the typical "South Asian timing," I allowed for an hour before arriving. Upon reaching the restaurant, I was told my order wasn't even started. The explanation provided was that they needed prior notice to prepare the food, a detail that was not communicated during the initial conversation.

While I remained calm in expressing my dissatisfaction, it was disheartening to encounter such poor service. The lack of communication and preparation reflects poorly on the establishment's professionalism. Regrettably, I must caution others against patronizing Halal N Spice.

Despite the mediocre quality of the food and the somewhat reasonable prices, the overall experience is marred by subpar service. It's disappointing to witness such potential go to waste due to management inefficiencies. In conclusion, I advise against wasting both time and money at...
