Absolutely the worst hiring process I have experienced in my life. And the customer service was no help either bc the managers are never there. I had my interview with Cassandra and I was hired on the spot. I had to fill out a background check that was supposed to be in my email within hours of my interview. However, it wasnât. I had to call the store every day to see when Cassandra was there. Apparently she only works one day of the week. I talked to her one week after not receiving it, and she asked for my email and she said she would resend it. Then, another week after, i had to have a customer service person who was finally smart enough to write down my name and number for her to resend my background check. And then a week later, I get a call from DaâZhor who is the new store manager. She asks me to come in to do hiring paperwork. I go in and her numbers are not working bc she was just hired. Then, i go in two days later, her numbers are not working. And she said she would call me, but i am the one who called to go in to do the paperwork. So disrespectful! And i go in to do the hiring paperwork for the third time, and she says that they filled all cashier positions and offered me seafood or deli. If i APPLIED for a specific position, WHY IS THERE NO SPOTS LEFT. So irresponsible of the managers! So i did the hiring work for deli. And i go in on thursday to do my computer training, but my numbers arent in yet. And now it is saturday, and i have been waiting every time here for almost an hour just to waste my time here.    Read moreStop & Shop needs to retrain Mike, a cashier and his supervisor who were involved in my transaction. When I asked why the total of my purchase came out to more than I expected, the cashier began to read off the higher ticket items, two of which were not ringing up with the correct sale prices. I wasnât expecting an apology or anythingâI know this happens often when the POS system isnât updated with the weekâs sale prices. However, the cashier was being very defensive and was acting as if he couldnât do anything about it. He was acting as if it were a big hassle to check the price. He then had his supervisor come over and check the price. The supervisor came back with a much smaller sized product (Raoâs marinara sauce) and said this was the size the sale price was for and that heâd still honor the price. When I said the entire end cap was full of the larger sized bottles, he cut me off and said, âLike I said, Iâm going to honor the price.â I said I was just trying to tell him about the end cap and yet he continued to cut me off. When I said he doesnât have to talk to me like that, he just kept saying he was honoring the price. His tone and attitude were very condescending. Back to back poor customer service from the cashier and this supervisor. I am so disappointed.    Read moreThe store itself is fine. It is usually well-stocked, clean, organized and has all the services you could need. The problem is the personnel working there, especially in customer service. In a recent visit, I wanted to purchase an item on sale. It was $1.79 per pound as opposed to the regular price of $3.99. The package was exactly 6.005 lbs. Now, I know there is this new math and all, but $3.99 x 6.005 lbs. = $23.95995 or $23.96. And 1.79 x 6.005 = 10.74895 or $10.75. So that would be a savings of $13.21 (23.96-10.75). After paying the full price, the cashier handed me back $10 and called it even! When I got to the car, it dawned on me that the math didn't add up, so I went back in to get the difference, $3.21. The person at the customer service counter must have heard me say that the total sale should have been $10.75 and handed me 75 cents!! I explained to her the simple math and she got annoyed and gave $4 more and told me she didn't care and dismissed me. So she gave me back more than I expected and since she was so rude and lacked the necessary simple math skills to do her job, I took it and left!
