Smok-Haus Hicksville — Restaurant in Town of Oyster Bay

Saw this location while in the area and decided to stop in. Previously had an ok dine-in experience at this company's main location in Garden City a few years ago. Had tried a few different BBQ/smoked meats/sandwiches from them before (GC location), but only their porchetta was something I was willing to try again. This location is a takeout only storefront. Ordering was easy, using the touchscreen kiosk. A few kiosks are available near the front entrance inside the store. Ordered the porchetta (with extra $auces) and the mac and cheese with additional porchetta, too. Store was clean, brightly lit (inside), and quiet, but staff were not visibly present; one employee later greeted and asked if I needed help, just as I finished paying for the order via the kiosk. Received my order shortly after and left. Only after reaching home did I notice I didn't receive one of the extra sauces that I had ordered and paid extra $ for. Wasn't going back because it was closing soon and the time and distance to travel back was not worth it. Food quality was not good. Porchetta had no flavor and felt like a small portion for the price. Same for the mac and cheese (with porchetta added to it for more $). Don't think I'll be trying...

Good Food, But No Place to Enjoy It

Smok Haus in Hicksville delivers great food, but the overall experience falls short due to its lack of dine-in service and subpar customer attention. If you're looking for flavorful, well-cooked BBQ, you won’t be disappointed—the meats are tender, the sauces are rich, and the portions are generous. However, since it’s strictly takeout, there’s no option to sit and enjoy your meal on-site, which is a letdown, especially for BBQ lovers who appreciate a relaxed dining atmosphere.

Additionally, the customer service could use improvement. The staff isn’t particularly welcoming or attentive, which takes away from the experience. While the food itself is solid, a better ordering experience and at least some seating would make a big difference. If you're okay with takeout only, it's worth a try—but don’t expect much...

The Hicksville branch is take out only…so no reviews about a dining-in experience.But wow oh wow were we excited to dig in to the ribs and wings! Other folks had rated them very high, so we decided to try them. No kidding - fabulous ribs, delicious wings, yummy fries and excellent coleslaw! The folks working there were incredibly generous - the ribs were the last 1/2 rack they had left, and I was originally told they were out of them. We ordered brisket and pulled pork…and then when I said my husband was so disappointed that there weren’t any more ribs, they threw in the last 1/2 rack for free!! Talk about customer service! Tomorrow I’ll be able to rate the rest of the food - too much to eat tonight!! Used my Foodie Card and got 10% off the bill. This was a win-win-win experience for us. We will...
