I recently visited Pittsford for a business trip and my goal was to only eat at restaurants that aren’t available in Atlanta (where I’m from). I began my week with a pepperoni, meatball, and mushroom pizza from Pontillo’s at Bushnell’s Basin. This pizza was delicious with crust that demanded to be eaten! By the end of the week, I had tried several other restaurants, but nothing else blew me away. It was an easy decision returning to Pontillo’s for round two. This time, I ordered the same pizza with a side of hot wings. Now, I have lived in Georgia my entire life, so I am no connoisseur of pizza. With that being said, I do know wings! These hot wings were easily a 9 out of 10 in my book. Not only that, but the pizza was just as good if not better than the first one.
The man behind the counter was friendly but not overbearing. He is clearly sharp and attentive. He was able to accurately tell me when my order would be ready to the minute, and knew my face and what I ordered....
Read moreWas told multiple times to wait outside in the pouring rain. Then the one girl with an attitude kept saying your gonna have to wait outside all rudely. Note they don’t even have a system set up to message you when your order is ready so I guess your suppose to keep walking up to the building and keep checking in what a joke!!Absolute most rude customer service I’ve ever encountered. Waiting customers were told multiple times at to stay outside for their order mind you, it's pouring raining outside and then multiple employees had the nerve to tell me that I should have an umbrella. Maybe your establishment should have a covered area outside so customers don’t have to wait in the rain. Also I want to mention the pizza is always soggy and the chicken wings are terrible cheap quality. I will never return!!! I should of went to TK’s pizza much better and way better customer...

A very nice older gentleman with a much more level head apologized for the behavior of the employee. Even offered us free pizza. But it seems that there's a pattern of accepting this kind of nonsense from their staff.
It's too bad. I've been going to Pontillo's for fifty+ years, but today was the last time. It takes a lot to make me post a negative public review, and I waited several hours after the incident to be sure I wasn't just posting angrily in the immediate aftermath. I hate the idea of bashing a locally owned business. But this guy's behavior was over the top and this negative...
