Great place love the owners staff always a good time to all you naysayers out there TJ Ryan's is a great place it is family-owned and operated The people that work there are awesome. They go out of their way to make people feel comfortable yeah they might not have food but they don't mind if you bring your own... And you can't beat the great music that he has playing there all the time. So do all these people that go on and give negative posts there's only two things that could have happened One. you got barred from there because you were being a dick or 2 your just not into having fun. I love going there especially on Thursday nights for the music Mondays for Lonnie Tuesdays Fridays and Saturdays for Casey and why I'm there I get to see all the other bartenders I've never had a problem getting a drink there. Feel bad for those who post negative comments because sooner or later those same people will get kicked out of every bar in Fairport and then what...

I went here for just a shot and a beer. It was Canal Days so it was absolutely slammed. Bartender helped me right away, I complimented how quick he was and he said, “Oh, this is nothing.” What a boss. The drinks were also incredibly well priced and they were not engaged in gouging people in any way, shape or form despite a huge turnout. Bravo!

Anyway, what really inspired this review: I had a small issue with my bill and was more than a little worried. When I called days later to have it resolved, the lady who picked up the phone was incredibly kind and had the manager get back to me. The manager, in turn, went above and beyond and managed to fix the issue right away. He was incredibly communicative and kind. Fun friendly staff, eclectic people, and fair prices on drinks! Went once for a friend's birthday on a trivia night they host (I believe 7:30 on Tuesdays.) The trivia was provided through an app service, making it easy and accessible to most. The entire trivia contest took almost 2 hours with several short breaks throughout. I am pretty sure the top prize was a $50 gift card, but my team wasn't the winner so not positive. Overall a very enjoyable time, with a solid crowd without being elbow to elbow.
