Tom Wahl's Bushnell's Basin — Restaurant in Town of Perinton

I had never had Tom wahls, nor heard of it. Found this place on google and when I saw a picture of their burgers I immediately knew I wanted one. As I navigated their website to place my pickup order, I stumbled upon the junkers section. I didn’t know what a junker was, but when I read that if I chose one I could pick two sides, I knew I wanted that so i could try a variety of food in smaller portions (or so I thought)… I saw the regular cheeseburger was 5oz and on the junker section of the menu there was one with two 3oz burgers… so I had ASSUMED that meant I would get two small cheeseburgers (sliders) and a little of each of the two sides I ordered (onion rings and cheese curds). When I pulled up there were several children in sports uniforms with their parents exiting the place… they had clearly just had a rush so I wasn’t expecting my food to be ready as soon as I got inside as I was few minutes early. When I walked in I saw many frazzled teenagers, who were clearly a little worn out from the rush but were still as pleasant as could be. My food was ready only a minute or two later. When I opened the box containing my food I was shocked to see mountain of onion rings and what they called cheese curds (never had one inch square cheese curds but they were good), and two burger patties with melted on them just plopped on top of the mountain, with one small roll/bun on the side. Overall disappointing experience today on 6/11/20. First of all I would like to say that prior to this visit, my past experiences at this location has been decent. I ordered a basic meal combo and received a pager, that part of the visit was fine. Then I waited a very long time for the pager to buzz, and then went to the location marked pick up. Waited there for an additional long time while waiting for someone to assist me. The pager buzzed for so long on the table that it actually stopped buzzing. Then finally someone came over to assist me and was wondering why the pager wasn’t buzzing and I stated it’s because I waited here for quite some time before someone assisted me. No apology for the wait at all, here’s your food. I’m a service technician and we are on a time schedule for lunch and I basically spent my whole lunch time waiting to receive my meal. Very...

Came here a few weeks ago with my family while on vacation in this area for lunch and was expecting fast food. Never heard of this place before. Now we got in and I was so happy it was a diner. They had some of the BEST burgers I have ever eaten! The booths were really cozy and hit the spot for a diner experience. They even had a jukebox in the corner u could play. I’m a diner buff and love me a good diner vibe and this was spot on ! Would most definitely highly recommend this place . I also got a strawberry milkshake with rainbow sprinkles uhh the chefs kiss right there. I wish we had one of these diners in Delaware but we don’t sadly. The root beer is homemade it wasn’t the best but I have had worse root beer. We will definitely be eating here again if we r up this area. And that’s a man’s word...
