Alimentari Rossi & Sons — Restaurant in Town of Poughkeepsie

Wow! 5 stars isn’t nearly enough. Last week I placed a catering order for my housewarming party this weekend. After placing my order, I realized one of my family members was severely allergic to dairy. Lauren went above and beyond to make sure a separate panini was made separately so there were no issues. The food was incredible and my family couldn’t stop complimenting about how good everything tasted. We can’t wait to go back.

Update to review: Let me start off by saying that this is the ONLY place I will let cater my events. At the beginning of October, I planned a huge surprise party for my Mom. I instantly knew I wanted Rossi's to cater it. Since we had so many people attending the party (30+) I needed to make sure I was ordering the right amount. Lauren, could not have been sweeter or more helpful. She was truly beyond wonderful. After calling her week after week to confirm my order, review my order and finally place my order, she was patient with me every single time and ensured that everything I was ordering would be perfect. On the day of, our food was delivered (in the pouring rain) by the nicest delivery man from Rossi's. He made sure everything was set up perfectly and that we were happy with everything before he left. My family and friends have NOT stopped talking about how delicious the food was. We can't wait to have Rossi's cater...

Just insane how good it is! I was in this store one other time and was somewhat intimdated by the kiosk ordering process and so I walked out. Today i went for it. I asked for help.

The BREAD (Hearth Semolina), OMG!! i have been going to fine bakeries my entire 63 yrs, my sister is professional baker, This is just delicious.

The size of Roast beef sandwich was almost a foot long by 4" wide by 4" tall_ packed with (close to a lb) meat. one sandwich all tricked, was aobut 18.00 They dont accept tips. The sandwich would easily feed two and certainly could have fed 4. I ate half for breakfast, saving the other for dinner later.

The staff is very accommodating, all very friendly. I had to ask for help, yet once i did, they were super accommodating. The first person who helped me, FABIO,was so patient and attentive. it turns out, he is the owner. Staff too was kind and attentive.

The biscotti- had 8" x 3/4" x 1.5" Great Firm crisp texture and delicous flavor. hard to resist all the other treats.

There is one bad thing- they are only 3/4 mile from where i live- Way to tempting!!!

Value, food, experience-...

The City of Poughkeepsie iconic deli is finally now in Arlington and it does not disappoint. The food is delicious and plentiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. Their panini's are something to savor. The one I had today consisted of crispy eggplant, the freshest mozzarella I think I've ever had and a sensational pesto with roasted red peppers.

When you first enter the deli there are 4 kiosks where you can place your order (very convenient) or you can order from a 'real person' if you like. Once you walk past the kiosks it's like stepping back in time. You can add an Italian soda to your order and/or a nice pastry. They also sell olive oil, balsamic and wine vinegar and traditional Italian candy, not to mention their homemade bread.

They also have an antipasto plate that consists of various Italian meats, cheeses, olives, dips and bread. Something I will definitely order for my next get together. I highly recommend this deli. Come hungry, leave happy, but it's a bit on the pricey side yet...
