Buns Burgers — Restaurant in Town of Poughkeepsie

Well they might have gotten a better review but as we were almost done the incredibly loud smoke alarm went off. It was so loud even with my hands over my ears it was ridiculously loud. Could hear it blocks away. Another patron said only the Fire Department could shut it off. That on top of the horrible acoustics was NOT a pleasant experience. Every time something was thrown into the sink the sound was so loud, plus due to the horrible acoustics it echoed! Food was just ok. Burgers were quite small in size. Shoestring fries were greasy none were full size they were all little pieces of fries. I saw they were cooked fresh. The buns sauce was ok nothing special. Metal chairs were very uncomfortable I wouldn't imagine sitting at the counter on metal bar stools with no backs. Based on this one experience I will not be going back ever!!! I would be talking to my lawyer on Monday mornring to start a lawsuit against Eastdale to get out of that lease and any costs to open up. Friendly service, very clean environment. The food was OK. However, their fries are delicious! I'm curious if you can ask for less salt? My boyfriend and I went for the first time near closing (7ish), so perhaps that's the reason? 9pm should be the earliest closing time IMO. He doesn't like sauces that much, so that may have been why he wasn't too thrilled about his burger (original), and perhaps not enough season in the beef. I got the dirty chicken sandwich. The size of the chicken was very small, like a strip! There's more chicken served on a McDonald's sandwich. It tasted good, but there was more bun and cabbage (very pretty looking) to the bite than chicken to be ~$14! Milkshake was tasty, but needed a bit more caramel flavoring added to really taste it, it was more vanilla. I'm hesitant to try them again; I want to try a beef burger. I’ve eaten here a few times. Food has always been good to very good but service has evolved since first opening. They seem to have everything down now. Super friendly and quick.

Burgers are divisive and depending on your mood or how you like your burger Buns may or may not be for you. I’ve had the chicken, burgers fries and milk shakes. Burgers are good. If you like a thicker patty that has a really fresh taste to it you will like this. If you’re looking for a smash burger or something a bit greasier or salty this is not it. The buns used are delicious as are all the condiments. Again, everything has a very fresh and clean flavor to it.

I do think the chicken is better than their burger offerings. The chicken is really flavorful whether you’re having the nuggets or the sandwich.

Fries are nice, thin, crispy and salty. Really good.

The milk shakes are ridiculously good.
