CK Eastdale — Restaurant in Town of Poughkeepsie

Went for a convenient cup of regular coffee at least a few times per week since they'd opened at Eastdale. The owner is passionate and loves to talk about the industry. I like the coffee and have seen the baristas really dish out some dope latte art! Unfortunately I was refused service on my last visit, just peaked in to an empty store and asked the girl working if I could get a cup without the PPE. I told her flat out, I forgot my mask. She said sorry she couldn't help me. I figured the place was desolate, she could have at least walked 4 feet to the door, and taken my money there... bring it to the table outside... idk, something... Everything looks amazing on the bakery shelf at the Eastdale location. We ordered Fresh toast, which had an amazing taste and presentation. However, I'm not sure why they call it toast. The sourdough bread was not toasted in the slightest. I am extremely disappointed with all of the brewed coffees. They are watered down, not enough beans to water ratio. Tasted more like coffee water. The staff did agree that the coffee looked much lighter, but all 3 pots looked the same. Please correct this problem. Until then, buy your pastries and buy your coffee elsewhere or make it at home. I will give it another try before giving up on them entirely for coffee and report back or update if any different. This is a favorite haunt for a daddy/daughter cup of coffee and walk about. As our kids get older and on their own it is still important to connect in different ways, but coffee has been a staple since she hit high school. The Crafted Kup offers the standard black coffee, decaf, for daddy, and a wonderful variety of blends, mixes, and other sorted alchemy that is now the purview and craft of quality cafe's. While I mainly go for the coffee, they do have a variety of food that looks wonderful. The ambiance of Eastdale is wonderful. Nice to get out and walk about with a warm cup of coffee on a Fall or Spring day. Lots to explore, and a variety of places to eat...
