I stopped by KC Grill + Family Restaurant recently with the intention of dining in, but the place was packed — which, to me, is always a good sign. A full house usually means the food is worth it, and in this case, that proved true.
I had been craving their brisket fries, which are absolutely amazing. Even though I ended up ordering for pickup, they didn’t disappoint. The fries came out perfectly crisp, topped with tender, juicy brisket, melty cheese, and just the right amount of spice. I asked for the sauces to be packed separately so the dish wouldn’t get soggy, and the staff handled it exactly as requested. Even after bringing them home, they were still hot, flavorful, and packed with that smoky kick. My kids loved them too — though they definitely noticed the little extra heat, which gave the dish a fun edge.
The brisket itself was melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a smoky richness that paired beautifully with the crispy fries. It’s one of those indulgent dishes that makes you pause mid-bite just to appreciate how good it is.
The pickup process was smooth. The staff were polite, efficient, and helpful. They’ve also got an automated touchscreen ordering system — sleek, high-tech, and a fun surprise for a...
Read morewriting this as i am doubling over with severe stomach pain and nausea. the food was kinda ok. my friend ordered a burger and asked that sauces not be added and they did. i ordered dark chicken sesame poppers (or whatever its called) was decent tasting although some were very rubbery and dry. did not have sauce on it. ordered rice and it was dry and full of black pepper and barely edible. my friend ordered a pastrami sandwich and said that it was kinda rubbery as well. the fries and my diet sprite were the 2 best items purchased. they dont provide napkins just paper towels that you pull out of a dispenser. if you want to take home leftovers you need to pack it up yourself in the pans available in the front. it was freezing in the store until someone finally turned the heat on. we were sitting in our coats. service was kinda slow and the servers werent really friendly and didnt make us feel welcome. definitely wont be returning...
Read moreYum! One of the best kosher restaurants in the Monsey area! While the food can take a bit longer to be served than desired, everything is served hot and fresh. Every menu item my family has tried here has been delicious, well worth both its cost and any extended preparation time. The majority of the sauces served on the sandwiches are very tasty, and they double as interesting condiments for French fries and onion rings! If we want to go out for meat for dinner in the Hudson Valley, KC Grill is always a consideration. Takeout here is convenient, and this restaurant is great for individuals and families to eat in, but it does become crowded frequently and generally isn't ideal for larger groups. Note that ordering is chaotic when the restaurant is busy, but the employees are polite and rather patient in...
