I would give them more than 5 stars if I could! Been chasing down these donuts when they were only selling at various farmers markets and I’m so excited they now have a shop! They did an excellent job designing the space - adorable and welcoming. Excited to see how fun it’s going to be in the summer- I’m sure it’ll get super busy! We went on the third day after they opened and they already seem to be getting their rhythm. They had to limit each order to six donuts because they tend to sell out very quickly. Some constructive feedback for the owners: - The donut ordering line could be improved. Now, you go past all the donuts in the display and then order at the cashier and then they hand you your box of donuts afterwards. My order of donuts was incorrect and so was a friend’s who went in later. Suggestion: have menus available on the wall before people get to the counter. Then, when people get to the donut display, have them order as the servers put the donuts into the box, and then have the same person ring up the customers order. This will avoid confusion between the person taking orders and the person fulfilling them. - The egg sandwich was good but underwhelming for the price. It was quite small (smaller than my palm) and seemed to be roll with egg+American cheese. I’m sure the team is still working on perfecting this so my suggestion of a couple tweaks: using quality cheddar and making these a bit bigger would make customers feel that the sandwich is truly worth it. Looking forward to updating this review as they get even better and grow their already devout following. I’m excited to come back and try more creative donut flavors + see how they continue to improve and serve the community!

I’ve been to Mighty Donuts twice since they’ve opened! On my first visit, I enjoyed their refreshing iced tea and two donuts. The Blueberry Green Tea cake donut was the tiniest bit too sweet for me but still lovely, and the Chocolate Guinness Stout cake donut was perfectly balanced for my taste (a real chocolate donut with gusto). On my second visit, I ordered another iced tea and the Breakfast Hand Pie. After about 25 minutes of waiting for it, I asked the staff about the status of my order. Long story short, their receipt system had a little hiccup and gave me a new name that I didn’t recognize when they called it out (Marina and Liv are decidedly different-sounding). Apologies abounded, culminating in a free Strawberry Sprinkle donut to accompany my already delicious and satisfying hand pie that came out piping hot (made to order!). Before my hand pie came out, other staff members offered me free coffee and a refill on my tea, and even cleaned up the table I was sitting at. It was such a simple mistake and I didn’t even mind waiting the extra time, but I felt so attended to! The manager(?) brought the hand pie directly to my table and offered the free donut (too good to pass up). The strawberry sprinkle rounded out my meal of savory, buttery eggs and potatoes with a little fluff and sweetness. I added an extra tip to thank them for the donut. All in all, personable staff, delicious donuts and breakfast items, and a nice environment for observing Red Hook’s donut joy. (Hand pie not pictured since it was consumed immediately)

I heard they sold out of donuts by 10am on opening day, congrats! I went the second day at 10am and there were a few flavors of donuts left, along with hand pies and everyone seemed understanding as the staff figure out how many to make each day. The cinnamon cake donut reminded me of my favorite cereal growing up, Cinnamon Toast Crunch. There is a lot of indoor seating and outdoor for when the weather is warm enough. The vibe inside was electric, people excited to try a new place and support a small business, and I’m sure weekends will be packed with families and kids. I hope the town allows for signage too, it isn’t clear where to turn into at first. The parking lot was extremely busy, there were a lot of bigger cars parked and trying to get in and out, and watch out as you turn into and out of the main road. I look forward to coming back and trying new flavors in the future!

Drove in from Litchfield County in CT for a nice early morning drive to check this place out this morning. I am originally from NYC and have had my share of donuts, but this place by far blew me away. What a gem!

Where do I begin with the pros? This place has a great ambience, clean facility, you can already smell fresh donuts from outside the establishment, great service, and light and flavorful donuts! I also think the prices are very reasonable given the quality and complexity of flavors.

We ordered the Brown Butter Donut, Strawberry Currant Jelly Filled Donut, Boston Cream, and Strawberry Sprinkled Donut. I personally liked all the donuts but the brown butter donut was heavenly. You could really taste the almost caramel(y) goodness of the brown butter without it overpowering the yummy fluffy yeast donut. I usually prefer cake donuts, but this donut definitely had me flip over to preferring yeast donuts. It also went well with my black iced coffee!

We will definitely be back and make a detour to Mighty Donuts during...
