Placed order online for curbside pickup, arrived 10 minutes after ready time, called into store advised I was there to pick up and was told they didn't know how to make the sandwich i ordered off their menu and instead of calling me to tell me that, that made an omlette to replace the sandwich, im allergic to eggs for one. 2 the girl said she had no time to call me because she was only one there taking orders, seating people, waitressing and they only had one cook. I then asked for money back since i wasn't getting my order. She said she couldnt do that. She said most she could do was call her manager. Placed me on hold i waited another 15 min and she never came back to line so my daughter went in to find the girl was not by the phone but seen me onhold because hold light on register phone was blinking to find the girl taking someones order at a table instead of calling her manager. My daughter then approached her telling her im still onhold and why isn't she talking to manager. She came out to my car then and she handed me her personal cellphone that had her manager on it and went back in. The manager told me that she could not refund me my money but instead invited me back to their location in a future date to eat a meal for free. I said no thank you i chose curbside due to pandemic and i was 40 minutes away from home and after the service i received at this location I definitely would never come back. I then said screw crediting my credit card back can you just give me that amount on a gift card so I could use it at other locations she said no, it would be stealing from her servers drawer and business. I said listen i have been waiting outside in your parking lot for 1.25hrs now, didnt get the food I ordered, not getting a refund and now sitting on her only servers personal cell phone and Im 40 minutes away home and just want my money for back for food I never received and get final words were. "I cant do that and to call corporate because they are the ones that have my money. I called corporate and reported incident. Due to it being end of day and a weekend they will be following up with...
Read moreI had called in a big steak omelet "to go" and specifically asked the woman I spoke with if they had maple syrup in little containers to go. She said "yes." I then requested that she put in 4 containers of maple syrup. I told her that the person coming to get the food wont ask for it for me, and she promised that she would put it in the bag to go. When the food arrived to me, there was only one tiny little cup of maple syrup in there. It wasnt even full. It wasnt even enough for one pancake. This isn't the worst part. I called IHOP and spoke with a girl about it and she said they had run out of maple syrup. I'm not sure how this could happen at an ihop and I'm tempted to go there and order some pancakes to verify that they had not run out of maple syrup. What probably happened was they ran out of pre portioned maple syrup containers to use in to go situations and were too lazy to refill a couple for my order, but I can only speculate on that. For an ihop to run out of maple syrup completely..and not to go to a local grocery store to buy more...would be an epic failure. That would be 2 epic failures combined. I told her if I had known that I would have gotten hash browns. She apologized and just sat there on the phone. She did not offer any form of compensation for the issue or even initiate the conversation as to how they can make it right. She just sat there silent. It blew my mind because all restaurants know better than to just say "oops sorry!" And then not make up for it. I was like "okay...." and then I hung up. The big steak omelet is expensive and without a side dish of pancakes, its a total RIP off. Now my pancakes that came with the omelette are going to be wasted, or given to my dog. I can always go buy some maple syrup, but that's not the point. I could have bought all the ingredients and made multiple omelets for the price of their big steak omelet. They get a one star for this. I'd give them 0 stars if it was possible because customer service is so very important when you're...
Read moreIf I could give it NO stars I would. Extremely insulted when we stopped in for a bite (on our way to Door County) to eat. My husband, myself & granddaughter entered, young girl (probably 16 and VERY displeased to be there) said “How many?”. If you are the hostess, it should feel more welcoming. Next it’s “follow me”, the young girl walked well ahead of us & tossed the menu on the table. Proceeded to walk past us & back to the front. (Nothing said like “your waitress will be?” Or “your waitress will be right with you?”) So far not a great impression. I head to the bathroom, told my husband to order a pop for me. I arrived back and he said nobody has been by yet. (At the cash register is a young man, 3 waitresses. Also note as I walked back to my table a family with 2 young girls & baby arrived.) Next 2 waitress left the register towards our booth. (The family was seated ahead of our booth). These 2 waitress stopped at the family table started to greet them, interact with the baby & drinks brought out for them. Okay now we were rudely directed to our table, we are now here 8-10 minutes & nobody has come over. I said “they obviously don’t want our business & I do not want to give them money”. (Plus service would most likely be just as bad). We processed to leave, But before going out the door I told the young impolite young waitress that it is the worst lack of service I’ve experienced and most impolite staff. Glad we left we found RED ROBIN and had the most wonderful food and...
