El Mezcal — Restaurant in Town of Rib Mountain

I typically don't leave reviews unless they are good but I am very displeased with the service at this establishment! The food and beverages were great! However my friend who is in a boot recovering from a broken ankle joined me for dinner tonight and there was so much water on the floors that you directly have to walk on to get to the tables that my friend fell! When she fell the staff who witnessed it didn't come to try to help her up nor seemed to be concerned whatsoever! They didn't ask if she was OK and they didn't even bother to mop it up it still sat there until we walked out of the place you would think the safety of all customers there would be of importance! Imagine taking your friend out who was about to have her boot taken off the next day after wearing it for 2 months fall and then gets reinjured and now will have to wear that boot for who knows how much longer now! Doing something nice for a friend and have to watch her cry at the table because of the pain and the embarrassment of it! I couldn't even enjoy my meal because of how she was treated or the lack of empathy of the situation! Don't get me started on having waitresses leaving dirty plates and drink cups and having a table full of dishes sitting there up until we left! Food is decent but the service...

Not sure how this place has the reviews it has unless their bought. This hands down has to be the worst most flavorless nexican food I've eaten in the 44 years I've been here . Wife and I wanted mexican food so went online and came across this place seen the reviews and figured we would try it we both got fajitas with shrimp their was zero flavor all the meat was overcooked the shrimp itself was so over cooked it literally curled in a different direction and didn't even look like shrimp our beans and rice were thrown i to a container (hot food) with (cold food) piled ontop of the hot food sour cream lettuce tomato etc spent 50 bucks on dinner and still have to get something for dinner how does this even make sense?? This is not a purchased review obviously and I would absolutely not recommend this place even if it were the last restaurant on the planet I would still pass how does a restaurant even send something out the door like this? How does a restaurant overcook shrimp? Shrimp that was id almost guarantee was already precooked???? Disgusting, disappointing, 50 dollars spent on dinner and I still have to get dinner!!!!!!!...

I consider myself an advocate of this business until now. Started coming and enjoying my visits at the Marshfield, WI location. Found out there is also a location in Wausau, WI and started frequenting. Right out of the gate (most recent visit) I requested a table in the corner that I always sit at and was told by the person seating me that the table was occupied. So, instead of taking the table he insisted, I told him I would take the table next to the one I requested and proceeded to move to that location. Upon arriving, noticed that the table requested was indeed not occupied. So, he lied. Then found out this establishment doesn't carry salsa Verde in the bottle (Hmmm, every Mexican restaurant I've EVER been to does). Then asked what soup items are available (love traditional seafood soups found in every Mexican restaurant I've been to) and was told "we do not have soups on our menu. WTF. So I ordered a white queso and got something like 3 oz.of something two chips could absorb. However, I love street tacos and they were great. As for the rest, tell the owner where he (they) can shove their decisions on how to run...
