J&P’S Tippling House — Restaurant in Town of Rib Mountain

We went for the soft opening at J&P’s Tippling House and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! It was amazing when it was The Lounge and it’s just as amazing now as J&P’s!!!!

The service was top-notch! Everyone was friendly, attentive, and you could feel the genuine warmth from both the staff and the owners. The whole establishment has such a welcoming ambiance, and the place is spotless. To top it off, the building has the most amazing, almost addictive smell when you walk in…sets the mood immediately.

The chefs clearly know what they’re doing; the food was absolutely outstanding. Executive Chef Davin’s talent and creativity shine through in every dish. You can tell he has a true passion for flavor and presentation, each plate was perfectly executed and unforgettable. Sous Chef Tez has the best flavor profile around! I am so glad the owners brought them back! It wouldn’t be the same without them.

We tried the wings, which were juicy, crispy, and perfectly seasoned (honestly didn’t even need sauce). The onion rings were crunchy with the perfect bite, no sliding onions here! And the loaded tots with beer cheese and candied pork belly… absolutely to die for. Not a single bite was left on our plates. The food looked so good we didn’t even pause to take a picture before digging in.

We can’t wait to come back for the full menu, seasonal drink specials, and of course for football season! This is going to be the spot. J&P’s Tippling House is a true gem, and we’re already excited for...

So very impressed with everything these new young owners have put together!!! The vibe was very upbeat and casual. We enjoyed ourselves very much! All the servers were so excited and proud to be part of this new experience and offering to Wausau and the general area. Phil and Justin’s place will do very well. I highly recommend you visit this wonderful establishment!!!

The only reason Service does not have five stars is because they are brand new and they’re just getting their processes down. These people behind the bar are so nice and considerate and kind! They are all so excited to be your servers Wausau! The drinks were out of this world, great, and off the charts yummy!

My husband and I each had one of their famous sammy”s. I had the chicken buffalo and husband had a Da beef ribeye shaved Sammy. The flavors of the sauces and the combinations of everything were out of this world! Best food in town as far as I’m concerned. Not that I get around to every establishment, but I’ve been around to enough to know Davin’s chef selections are phenomenal! His attention to details and exceptional ingredients is so evident.

Everything was priced to represent the overall quality of what we were served and very comparable to other establishments in town. Not cheap but not expensive either.

TV’s have been added through the establishment. We watched the Brewer Cub game. The overall vibe was upbeat and comfortable.

we absolutely loved our visit on opening night. the service was prompt, the food was outstanding, and we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. all of the staff was amazing but our main server Lexi was outstanding. she was greeting everyone as they walked in, noticed everyone needing a drink, and her banter with us as customers was so much fun. coming back tomorrow in hopes of another espresso martini from her. fantastic place and can't wait to stop...
