La Canasta supermarket — Local services in Town of Rib Mountain

Everything is clean, stocked, and organized, from the aisles to the kitchen! I stopped for tortillas and had so much to say when we got back in the car. After running errands, I said I was hungry. Hubby suggested we grab tacos to go from the store where we had bought tortillas. I was apprehensive but gave in. What an amazing surprise! I wish I had grabbed a photo of the menu as I'm not able to find it anywhere; however, I know I had 2 beef (asada) and 2 chicken (pollo). They were each served with 2 tortillas (grilled, not fried in oil), onions, and cilantro with sliced radishes, lime wedges, green salsa (yummy spicy), and red salsa (yikes spicy) on the side. Unlike traditional Mexican tacos, there was a lot of meat and little fat, which is the main reason I'll be back soon. I only wish I had gotten more...

As a local I would like to say this is one of the Mexican restaurants I recommend I know the people well and they just open new. As a person who likes my restaurants meaning strictly.. this is one I recommend they know English in case you do not know burritos tacos and tortas same with other foods are made with love you can tell because it’s nice hot fresh and they love to add extra meat wish I took pictures but trust me...

The food is great if you go in person and order it. But if you try to order takeout on the phone, for some reason they try to avoid it. The first time I called they said they ran out of ingredients (really?!). Second time I called they said they closed their kitchen early (Friday 6pm).
