Thank You Thank You Catskill Coffee Lodge in Roscoe NY.
My family and I have been travelling from Putnam County to Deposit for the past 12 years and for all that time we haven't been able to find a good halfway stop for breakfast and coffee. We tried places in Liberty and Roscoe with no avail. Yesterday we found The Catskill Coffee Lodge and our wishes have come true. We hoped for good and got GREAT!!!!
Upon pulling into the parking lot which was extremely spacious you see this amazing view of the Willowemoc Creek. The Lodge has a great seating area off the side of the Creek.
You walk into the Lodge and that's exactly how you feel. A beautiful Lodge motife with great framed pictures of the catskill mountains and large picture window that view the Creek.
We ordered our breakfast and coffee and everything was delicious. My youngest son loves Macha Latte and had to walk back the barista to advise her that it was the best Latte he has ever had. He's very Boujee LOL. But honestly the food and drinks were awesome.
The girls behind the counter were so helpful and fun to talk to. Smiles from start to finish!
We will absolutely be advising our friends and family to make this stop on the way up for a fun and delicious road trip add!
Thank Catskill Coffee Lodge and see...
Read moreI found this place by mistake on my way back to NYC. I'd been dying for somewhere to stop and take a deep breath, and as a coffee lover I couldn't pass up this opportunity. As a lifelong New Yorker (the city-kind), I admit, I've never spent any time in the Catskills. If today's drive to and through the area didn't already make me fall in love, Catskills Coffee Lounge certainly did.
The two women working there are stellar. It's clear they know the locals, judging by the conversation I heard with the customer ahead of me on line. Their selection is exactly what you want out of a coffee place. The chalk board menu on the wall is a killer touch, too.
This place has damn good coffee. The food looked delicious and if I hadn't just eaten I'd have bought out the pastry case. Next time I go back I'm ordering so much coffee I'm going to leave my car there and marathon-run back home to Queens.
This is what I wish every coffee place was. A welcoming place with welcoming people, a beautiful and serene atmosphere that makes you torn between sitting inside or staying out, coffee that makes you want another two cups even if you're three past your limit, and pastries that make you forget you're not hungry.
I'll be back...
Read moreBeautiful location. Charming inside and out. Why the low rating? Stopped in Friday afternoon with a friend. Ordering at the counter, there was a lovely pastry case and on top of the case, a few PLATES of cookies on TOP of the case. I pointed to the front plate and asked the server what they were. "OATMEAL RAISIN" and they were huge. Damn, they looked great. I reached and took the one on the end. "DON'T YOU EVER DO THAT AGAIN! I CAN'T HAVE YOU TOUCHING COOKIES OTHER CUSTOMERS MIGHT ORDER!" Whoa, excuse me, they were out in the open on TOP of a closed pastry case. I'm not used to being barked at as a customer. If there had been a sign or note, that would have been fine. But they were sitting right there. My friend was completely taken aback, and said, "I bet you don't get treated like that too often!" Well no, I don't. We were on the way to a funeral and seriously dressed for the occasion. Catskills Coffee Lodge, please teach your folks to treat customers better. Oh, the cookie was great. But damn, I graduated from 1st grade about...
