The Roscoe Collective is a beautiful, welcoming art space and a huge gift to our community. Our whole family attended the opening and had a lovely experience exploring a range of local artists. Reynan Punzalan’s work especially stood out—he’s a creative, thoughtful artist whose weavings blend textures and colors into one-of-a-kind wall pieces. A new, larger weaving made with thick, fuzzy wool was absolutely stunning!
He also makes extraordinary, multi-layered lamps with an incandescent light at the center; the way he builds them creates a warm, dimensional glow that feels like a living sculpture. Oh how I love these lamps—delicate paper layers floating on four slim posts around a warm inner light, shifting like dunes at golden hour and reminding me of childhood trips to the Outer Banks.🌊
Throughout the show, living plants in artist-made pottery added softness and life, and the photography, ceramics, and prints were excellent across the board. Pieces like this are why The Roscoe Collective stands out. This is my second event here, and I’m even more excited for what’s ahead.
