Grizzly Bagels — Restaurant in Town of Rockland

This bagel shop in Callicoon is a MUST visit. You have to order the toasted Cheddar Japaleno bagel with Scallion cream cheese. The texture of the bagels is a cross between a focaccia bread and brioche. It’s chewy, flavorful, and soft. The outside shell is coated evenly to provide a uniform texture of a good taste on the first bite.

We stayed at an AirBnB in Narrowsburg and these bagels were left in the fridge as a treat for us - along with some other deliciousness. I had one of the jalapeño cheddar bagels when we were there in March and took the other one home and froze it. I just made an egg sandwich after thawing on low for a minute and a half in the microwave - popped it into the toaster and it tastes exactly the way it did 2 months ago....
