šš¦ A Local Gem with Heart ā More Than Just Ice Cream šš
If you're looking for a place that feels like home, tastes like heaven, and embodies everything good about our community, look no further than Tones Cones. This isnāt just an ice cream shopāitās a radiant beacon of love, kindness, and inclusion.
Iāve known Anthony, the owner, since high school. Even back then, he had this incredible way of making everyone feel seen, safe, and loved. He was the kind of person who didnāt just talk about kindnessāhe lived it. So itās no surprise that his shop is a direct reflection of that same spirit.
Walking into Tones Cones is like stepping into a warm hug with sprinkles on top. The menu is packed with creamy, dreamy ice creams and classic American-style comfort food done rightāthink Hoffman hotdogs, crispy fries, and the kind of food that makes you believe in joy again. But the food is only part of the magic.
What truly sets this place apart is its heart. The shop proudly celebrates Pride and inclusion year-round, not just in June. Itās a space where everyone is welcome, everyone is safe, and everyone is celebrated.
And Anthony? He doesnāt just run a businessāhe leads with love. Every Halloween, he hands out FREE hot dogs at his home to families and trick-or-treaters. No strings attached, just pure community love. Heās also a passionate supporter of Erinās Angels, a local organization working tirelessly to fight food insecurity for kids. He shows up, donates, advocatesāand inspires others to do the same.
In a world that often feels chaotic, Tones Cones reminds you that goodness is alive and well. That people like Anthony are out there making a difference one scoop, one smile, one act of kindness at a time.
Come for the ice cream. Stay for the love. Leave with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe've been here a number of times. We will not go again. No matter what you get, no matter how cool it is outside, it seems even on a cool day the ice cream is melted.
We have had sundaes and cones and they are always melted no matter the temp outside.
I get that ice cream melts on a hot day and even over time on a cooler day.
There are other places we go when even on a hot day the ice cream doesn't melt this quick.
Last time I got a flurry or a sundae here the candy bar toppings were frozen solid. This ruins the taste, the texture, and the experience. Maybe refrigerate the toppings, but don't freeze them.
Not to mention the sizing of cones, sundaes, or flurries is not consistent even within the same order on multiple occasions. The taste of the ice cream itself is not great and is all overpriced.
Bottom line... don't ruin your day or night by going here and overpaying to get all messy and sticky while losing half of your ice cream as it melts all over you and your family so you have to go home to do laundry and take a shower. Save your money or take a nice drive elsewhere where the ice cream may cost as much or less, but it doesn't melt all over your family, it tastes better, you can enjoy the experience, and won't have to go home early to do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were here last week. I'd love to share a picture of what they tried to hand us through the window, but the ice cream didnt make it that far. The remade cone took FOREVER to make it out the window and as a result, also did not make it long on the cone. Didnt even get a lick before it fell off the cone. Not dripping, the WHOLE THING fell off. And it wasnt a difficult cone, it was a chocolate vanilla twist with rainbow sprinkles. So now that one ice cream was trashed not once but TWICE, let me also mention that the "small" ice cream as told to us by the window and handed to the 8yo, had twice as much ice cream as the medium that was handed to me.
These people clearly have no idea what the heck they are doing, and IT SHOWS.
TL/DR: Save your money and go somewhere else
(Henderson's dairy is right across the street, and they were able to accurately make us our twists with sprinkles once we threw away our...
